As questions that I've not answered are made I will put them up in the question and answer list in this post.
- When is this going to happen?
Currently we are shooting for September 30th. - What servers are merging?
Lintra and Valdes will be merging into one non-pk server. - What will this new server name be?
Since Valdes is the more populated server we will be keeping the name Valdes. - What will happen to my Guild?
Lintra guilds will stay intact, however if a duplicate of that guild name exists on Valdes will get an "_L" added on the end. Example: Before merge "Bloodymares" After merger "Bloodymares_L" - What about my Friends/block list?
It will be erased, unfortunately you will have to re-add your friends. - What about my Character's Lant, Quests, Skills and Stats?
Character information (including completed quests, skills, Lant, etc.) will merge over cleanly with all items in bags intact. - What about all my points I earned on battlefields(FoC, Theme,Svs)
These battlefield reward point values will transfer over. - What about my Items?
Item in bags will transfer over with the character. - What about my Common Bank and Personal bank?
Personal banks will transfer over per character and the Common Banks will be merged. - What if i have too many items in my Common Bank, what happens to overflow?
The items are there but are not in a slot, simply remove items from the bank slot into a bag to reveal excess items, by logging the character out then back in. To prevent issues we ask players empty out the common bank slots (as much as they can) and place them in personal bank slots or in a character inventory. - What about Items in the Cash Item Storage?
These items will transfer over just like the common and personal bank. - What about my auctions?
The ability to create auctions will be removed on Lintra and Valdes starting 9/16. You will still be able to bid on auction already there, however new auction hall consignments cannot be placed up for bidding. This is to reduce the likelihood of items disappearing in the mail or getting lost during the merge. - What about my names?
Only Characters with name conflicts will recieve a name change. When logging in after the completed merger you will find some of your characters names RED. When you first log-in you will be prompted to change your name. **UPDATE 9/20** - What if someone steals my name?
Name sniping is something we do not want to happen. So don't do it or you will have your name change and account suspend temporarily.
One solution, before the day of the merger, log-in to the character select screen, click Print Screen, open up MS Paint, press ctrl+V and save this image. If any off your names are taken write into the GM Team, all disputes over name will go to the oldest character created. - Wait, I have like 16 characters across both servers! Don't delete them! **see update below**
Unfortunately the client can only display 8 character max, the other characters will not disappear but will only show up if another character is deleted. We ask that you delete unnecessary characters (such as nameholders, etc...). This will help to prevent this display issue. - How long is this expected to take?
We currently expect a full day of merging, currently we are shooting for an extended maintenance from 3pm-12am. - What of my in-game mail items still waiting at the Transporter?
Sending of mail will be disabled starting 9/16, this is to prevent items from being lost during the merger. You can still receive items from in-game mail and read messages, you just cannot send. We encourage users to empty out their mail to prevent loss of items prior to the merger.
*When logging in you to Valdes you wil notice that the character window now has a tab to access more characters. Please be aware that only the first 8 are playable characters, the remaining 8 cannot be played until a character on the front page is deleted. (We are currently working on a tool to transfer a character from one account onto another incase players do not wish to delete characters. ETA on tool is at least 1 more week.)
**During transfer some items may have been taken out of Common Bank account and moved to a empty character storage to prevent item loss.
