Possibly. I took the extended moonlight to lvl 6, so I could be anti-sin >XD I just want to test it more, to see if it really does help in pvp or not before changing my guide.

At a loss for dna... Potens moonlight sounds nice, but having to give up something else is... terrifying.

is the dna in your original guide still best to use after dna update?

also if you had a choice between s1 66, s2 65 dungeon and 65 foc set what would you choose?

Since I am not 100% of 79 yet I took potens DNA on Moon. I also extended the range of the aoe chain slash and boomerang for grind and took chain slash to lvl 8 for 8 targets. Since skills hit most of the time now i reduced a PD run killing all mobs from 22-24 min before the patch to about 13-14 min after the patch.

For pvp I will revert eventually to my old DNA but for now pve skilling is not too bad. Still max easy in BF, in fact it is a bit easier now as the AOE range works well enough that even with only 2 DNA points in each for range I hit the max number of targets very easily.

Just wish for more DNA to have some real fun, but I suppose would make it harder too due to certain other classes who would be so ridiculous with more DNA points.

Depends on your play-style completely. If you are more towards Rambo and dps and like to solo grind then go for FOC all the way. Far more dps than with seamless set. If you are the tankie type who prefers to last longer and grind in groups then go with 66 SP for sure and load it with resist if you pvp but with con/str if you prefer grind.

The 66 Seamless set can be made for both survivability and some dps if you build correctly and I have many many different build styles I would love to test. The best thing to do is use common sense. Decide what play-style suits you best and gives you the most enjoyment. Once you figure that out then pick the appropriate set. If you already know then I would be more than happy to offer advice to different builds (with gear) and you can choose the path which sounds best to you.

Avengers are the gayest little elves to ever walk this planet. Even fellow elves such as myself must fight their invasion! PEWPEWPEW ALL AVENGERS! eat crit snow burst you bastards!

Funny :lol: though, in foc they are now the magical, unspoken "primary"! Soon as someone sees an avenger everyone just locks on and pews the :( out of them. Really funny.

S1 lvl 66 Seamless set, absolutely, anytime, hands down, dont even think about it. I would NEVER, EVER change S1 66 and 70 sets or parts of them with ANYTHING else. I trust them, I love them, they have served me great for more than a year now and they work wonders still. The stats and def they give are just too great to ignore. For damage, make good reinf jewels, up your weapon as much as possible (same with ultimate attack thingie). This way you are an unmovable tower that strikes with fury! :lol:

I dunno...I'm starting to think my guide is all wrong now. Those commanders with all that skill crit get way more kills than me for obvious reasons. For a moment I was seriously thinking of trading my whole armor set for carus, so I could get tyrant set. But FoC would have more skill crit. I dunno how to manage getting both really good skill crit and hp though. Well... I'm done playing req. Also I think the new moonlight dna I put, is pretty useless. All of this new dna is mostly for pve grind. Meh. Aside from the extended stuff which is useless in pve, it's kinda useless in pvp too, I only got extended moonlight for some certain sins that I used to really hate, well..it's only good for people that really hate sins. But I think it was better off before. Maybe another point in beam slash though.

I use both s1 sp and FOC

Well FOC for more DPS of course, +10 full set = awesome skill spamming, although MP usage REALLY REALLY REALLYx10 aweful

anyways, this is my DNA at lvl 75

DNA:

Strengthened Survival Instinct - 3

Potens Rush - 4
Swift Beamslash - 4
Strengthened One Handed Weapon Mastery - 9
Extended Moonlight Slash - 1
Swift Moonlight Slash - 3

Leaving you 1 pt to max 1h Weapon Mastery at lvl 77.

I have always been about balance with my commie. Balance hp/def/str/AAcrit/skill crit/resist. Very hard to find a good medium point on all these and I have a long way to go still, even at 79. I will say since the patch that fixed our skill hit rate to some degree I have really been leaning towards going SS and using skill crit primarily. Most of my kills come from critting skills anyway and the AA is not necessarily vital to crit as usually that only get used between skills. With a few more skill points at 80 it would be possible to put a point in the lowbie attack skills to be able to truly SS at least a single target.

@ Laner,

I just came across. Its really great. How i wish i followed this when Son Of Santa arrived recently. I have few other questions though. I have an S1 Commie since 2008 who just turned 65 this December 2010. (yes i it took that long i stopped playing for a while). In this discussion you gave a lot of attention to armor set but haven't mention anything about Ornaments/Jewels. Is there anything i should consider most for that? Some say lab set, others go for more easier reinforcement such as ordinary jewels.

What is your opinion about it? Which is best suited for Commies.

Thank you very much, i appreciate your response.

For DPS go for reinforced jewels.
Tanking = MC set.

Atana, I know exactly how you feel. But at 37 Ancient Temple is an Advisable grinding location. Just be careful. So many Pk players there who are camping.

For dps there is nothing better than reinforced ornaments. I believe the best deal is eximius bijou ones. Why? Because they offer good stats increase, are fairly easy to acquire and not that hard to upgrade. Rare ornaments are good too, they offer slightly better stats than bijou, however they are indeed harder to reinforce (and more expensive in lant terms too). I personally use heavily upgraded bijou ones and they work wonders. What to enchant with? I used HP xeons for the first 2-3 slots (the best you can afford). The other slots... it is up to you what exactly you want to boost in particular. Could use a variety of critical xeons. In my case, I just used regular critical xeons (0.30% ones, didnt have any fancy ones from recent event) so I could boost both my phys and skill crit %. As I said, the outcome is quite good. I suppose you could even add 3-3 SvS physical damage xeons, but these are really exotic.

For tanking you can always use a MC set. This is a popular solution and fairly easy to acquire. Reinforce them as high as possible and enchant them all with HP xeons, again the best you can afford. The MC set is not mandatory, it all depends on your gear as a whole and how comfortable you feel with tanking. I had been using MC set as well, but I have long retired it and only use reinf ones now, in any occasion, but this is only because I already have huge HPs already. :unsure:

@Ninnghizhidda

Very informative, Thank you very much. this does mean i have to keep 2 sets of ornaments plus i have to choose Polar set (just when i have the set of FOC Sylrium XD). Ornament upgrades gets crazy sometimes, i get a lot of Fail. Would getting Premium subscription increase the chance of success? Now that Battles are very playable and fun, i need to level up more to get an edge and i need those Ornaments reinforced to capped. I'll take your advise on heavily upgraded bijou, sounds achievable. Once again. thank you.
