Hey all, just wanted to drop a comment about the current combat system. I feel that it should be A LOT more fluid for everyone, especially melee characters. Currently, many, if not all the skills require the melee character to stand still while casting. This in and of itself is the biggest downfall for all combat in any game. If a melee character can't use skills while moving, then they already suffer from a huge setback. Coupled with the slows and other such effects ranged characters have, it just gets ridiculous how dumb it gets. For example, consider WoW. Their combat system is something to be desired because it feels so smooth and continuous. There is NO start and stop combat, and skills can be used on the fly for ALL melee characters. Change this please and set Maestia apart from all the other games that do not address this point.

If your a scrub in warcraft you don't move at all, Besides being a melee character in this game means you need to find certain items, You need to find items that give you movement speed or you need to find a way to stun people runnin, I know Warriors have a charge, Check the Talent tree since when your a max level you will have access to most of those skills, Right now melee characters have almost no chance vs ranged.. If they are properly geared and catch them off guard they will kill you instantly though.

I think the issue is that melee characters are forced to stand still while they "cast" their abilities.

Melee characters, aside from buffs and shouts, should not have cast times if you ask me..... Or be mobile while casting.

Yup, very ideal right here. Buffs and such, sure why not, but other than that, we NEED the ability to move and use skills at the same time.
