does anyone else think that we need new potions? because we have 3x the amount of hp and the amount that whites heal arent really helping outpotting damage, anyone else thinks this is true?

white pots should alto heal at 3x if we have 3x hps.
pots heal you more the more vit and the more hps you have.

HP modifiers increased, but in many cases, vit is still going to be capped at 100 for most characters investing in it.

LKs pre-renewal even have this problem, I think. White potions simply don't heal them enough. Say you have 28k HP, even with over a hundred vit and a skill that doubles the effectiveness of the potions, you still have to carry a truly ridiculous amount of them to recover the HP that you have.

This will just encourage them to start selling us kafra shop HP items in bulk.

i strongly disagree with this. high hp makes you live through skills that oneshot other people... but at least, unless you pot seeds/berries, you'll die if you're getting DPSed faster than your potting speed. That just seems fair, high hp shouldnt make you invincible. I personally plan on playing rune knight, and ranked slims + vitality activation + regen potion+ 100 vit means each pot heals you for like 3-4k or something like that.

Not everyone can afford kafra points to buy the regen potion or slims for everything. I little boost in pots healings is not a bad idea. maybe add soemthing to the slim potting like extra white herb to give it more healing power. One the same note, I have noticed I used more pots when trying out different places.(when I had to use them). It takes 3x as much pots to get back to full heath. Smaller guilds are going to have trouble suppling their guild memebers with pots if it stays liek this.

In a later 14.x Episode, we're getting new pots that heals far more than our slims do, but has a cool down (I think it's around 2 seconds, don't quote me on that). The idea for the cool down on the new pots is that they're sufficient for leveling, without making it broken in WoE. They're also more cost effective (zeny cost per hp healed) than whites.

The new potions in 14.1 have a 3 second cooldown and heal for 1400 base at the cost of about 3200z (Coversely, white potions heal for 325 base at the cost of 1200z). They're also about equal weight. They're bad for regular usage but they're better than whites for regular leveling if you're dealing with the constant whittling of HP that leveling causes.

Uh, also, don't forget the Genetic potions.

Don't they have an HP potion one, that restores hp, in addition to the ones that add + maxhp/sp?

Generally speaking, i think potion HP regen in RO is already broken enough. Adding even more generous potions to it, when potting is getting a slight nerf in renewal, is not the right approach. Be glad renewal didn't add a cool down to all potions ;-)
Hell, iRO already has it easy with potions, we've got 2-weight slim whites!

I think its better that you can't pot your hp back to full in half a second... promotes some DPSing for once!

I wish this were the case but people seem to be doing damage in excess of 15 and 25k with trans and 3rd job skills in renewal so far. Its kind of depressing. I wish pots were delayed like this and damage was lower and staggered so DPS actually mattered and you didn't walk into emp rooms and instantly drop, etc.

I think most people would agree with me in saying that Yggs/Green Ales/etc. need to have a cool down. Aside from that, the way pots work is already a part of RO. Changing it means changing damage, skill spam rate, attack speed, etc. to scale with the changed pots, and I think that right now, it's too much trouble to mess with all that.

standard pots dont need a huge cooldown, something like 0.3 - 0.5 seconds would be long enough.
