Maybe its better to wait till the botters buy magical stones and bann them after jobchange.

I think the way theyre doing this is to ban the bots that bother playing customers. If you report a bot, because it bothers you, it gets removed. Even though there may be more on said map. They focus on the specific one you report.
Next day, you don't see said bot, and you're happy. If you can't be bothered to report, then it doesn't bother you enough.

Known bot maps should be checked on a DAILY routine by the GM's. It's just that simple imo. This has been going on far too long to have to WAIT for a report. I don't mean a couple times a week swing through these maps. I mean EVERY DAY. There are maps that with 100% certainty there will be bots there. Why does this have to even be reported? I have recently returned to this game so I couldn't name the maps atm. But I'm sure the community could give 5 maps in a heartbeat that will have bots w/o fail on them. Why is it not possible to take an hour or less out of the daily routine and hit these maps before taking on the rest of your day?
Walk in the door, high five heim, power on my pc, make my coffee, login, go to map A, 20 bots spotted, get to banning, Map B, repeat, Map C, repeat, Map D, repeat, Map E, repeat, o wow 30minutes passed and we have 100 less bots.

Ok, I do want to say that I am grateful to the community members that take the time to report bots. It does help clean the game up and make for a better gaming experience. So thank you very much.
Yes! That is exactly why the topic exists. Very well worded.
As for the GMs not patrolling, oh they do. I've witnessed them botchecking first hand, so it is happening. It takes time to ban bots, longer than it does it create them sadly (in order to verify these ARE actually bots). So whilst it may look ineffective, classic isn't bad, the flow is being stemmed pretty well.
Bot checking measures have to evolve as the bots do to keep ahead of them and I am pretty sure that it's going in the correct direction, or classic would be a LOT worse. So lets appreciate that fact.

O I have said it before and I will say it again, Classic is MILES away from the bot fest that other free servers have been and a big bravo from me to them on the preventive measures put in place thus far.
I don't dispute that bot checks are done, my only concern is the frequency. I don't believe it's being done on a daily basis, which imo, is essential. I have never banned a bot, so I am not quite sure as to how much time is involved in the process. I have however, been summoned to the prison and talked with briefly. The whole process took about 3-5 secs. I'm sure more would go into it if I was a bot but im not, so that's where it ended for me.
I don't want to discourage anyone from reporting bots as it is helpful to the community. I just dislike the idea that so much of the burden seems to weigh on the shoulders of the customers. I get the whole community watch aspect of it. Just still rubs me the wrong way.
Do I think the GM's are doing a good job with the bots? Yes. Do I think it could be better? Yes. Do I think it is MUCH BETTER than what it's been? HELL YES!
I think that sums up how I feel in a nutshell.

They are done every day. I am very certain of this, I have seen and heard of bot checks all days of the week.

Ok, well that's not a bad feeling to have.

Are you asking people to trust in Gravity without so much as proof? Oh, but you've seen it, I see. You're very certain. That changes everything.
Gravity has all these invisible "limitations", but when they are used to excuse resting responsibilities on other people, that is when things smell fishy. And when the weight of these responsibilities get trivialized by so many, then it starts to reek.

This is supposed to be a thread for helping the community help them, not sit and flame and complain. If you don't want to assist in doing better reports, the exit is to the left.
