okay first question...when should i add points on my passives?
is it wise to pump it up on my early levels?coz the block rate increase is quite tempting. :D

If you are serious about tank you need that 10% block rate because your level 59 skill depends on blocking to use. I leveled it up relatively early by building only requirements for the next skill on active skills.

Ultimately, it won't matter much because you shouldn't have aggro problems until Yotenheim (level 40ish).

I also strongly suggest fully buffing the HP passive because +25% HP applies to EVERYTHING (stats, equipment, ect.). It's an aboslute enormous buff to your HP pool. Magic defense is going to be your issue until level 44. I don't suggest leveling that up much early because you won't have the stats on your equipment that gives you magic defense. After level 44, it's viable.

Apoll, you think taking the zerk +P Atk passive is good for a tank? I want to know since all your P Atk comes either from buffs or the weapon itself, but the damage amplification from STR is also very useful... I've found that its quite easy to rip aggro off of similar leveled party mates by just going all out (Superion faction buff, maestone procs) with my attack as a berserker. Plus, I noticed you can glitch the knight/zerker auras if you have two different WRs in the same PT.

I never ran any numbers on the physical attack buff. However, the way I'd do it is to look at how much I gain per point of strength vs. what one skill point gets me.

The critical bonus passive looks sick, but again - I never did much work with it because my base damage is so much lower as a tank spec. I personally think that spiker builds are more suited towards to PvP as opposed to consistent damage builds - especially for an off-tank like a 2h warrior. You take hits as a melee damager, so you'll get your maestone procs. Pop on a red critical rate buff maestone and crit like a crazy mofo.

Well, when you look at STR you have to look at the damage amplification and the damage through critical bonus. Due to the way the game is setup, a pure tank and a pure DD WR can both have the same physical attack, but the damage amplification, which is around 2% for every 5 str point until roughly 45-47, then it becomes something like 1.8 and decreases by .2 for every 3-4 levels, gives the pure DD WR more damage. HatsuneMiku stated in his mage guide that defense scales oddly, especially for mages since he takes the same amount of damage even after the mage defense buff, which suggests a stat cap. Obviously, one can assume that the "cap" on a warrior's defenses are higher. I can see this as pretty good in the long run because you can't automatically win with +7 everything

The thing I'd like to know is how to distribute my stats. I've been doing 3 Str and 2 Agi per level and it's not working very well, my damage is great, but I'm taking way too much damage (I'm using a sword and shield too).

Should I ignore Str and just focus on Agi and Vit? I'd like to be able to do reasonable damage so I can keep aggro off my cleric merc, so I guess I want to be an off-tank rather than a pure tank.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

If you want to go pure tank, focus on Knight skills and the HP % boost from Berserker tree.

Well, Bloody Shield is a stun, so I would take that over reflect :/

I am level 34 and I amd trying to build a tank? I have been putting a lot of points into my hp and I hope it is pretty good. I am about 14.5k unbuffed HP. I know I need to put points into dodge (agi as well and some into strenght. I have seen some tanks with far less HP. In fact I hired a lvl 31 merc tank that only had 5k hp. He died rather fist in expert mode so I went with a lvl 31 claric and that worked out well. Yeah 2-tanking was a bad plan. But I had to see if it would work. This is is only my second game playing a tank and the first game was only in bata and lasted a week so I have lots of tank questions. I normally play a DPS warrior.

So far aggro has not been a problem. Taunt seems to work pretty well. Also most skills attacks also allow you to put points into the aggro generated by the attack. I have a few aggro points in my attack skills. The only time I have lost aggro is when a caster has jumpped the gun and shot first but I almost always get arro with taunt (pravocation I think it is called).

So my questions are at say level 40:

1 How much HP is a good amount to have?
2 How much P defense?
3 How much dodge?

I am not too worried about how much damage because you can put points into aggro for attack skills. I assume (to assume is bad I know)... um I assume that putting aggro points into attacks makes up for a weaker amount of damage than a DPS warrior.

Yes I am a NOOB. In fact a super noob. But hey everyone was at one point in their life.

Cheers and I hope you are enjoying the game.
