If you would like to have a chance at playing Classic Deal, please read its section under "How to Play"[/mod]
Current Event
Week Three of Classic Deal:
Two games of Classic Deal were played today! The players (and their prizes) were:
Hayroh Omega: 500,000 Zeny
Holy Palms: 1,400,006 Zeny
As Holy Palms proved, taking the deal can sometimes be better than what's in your case! Good luck to next week's contestants!
If your post was on the third page of this thread, you may now post again for another chance at playing.
How To Play
Classic Deal:
If you want to have a chance at playing Classic Deal, here's what you need to know:
Contestants are chosen by page and post number. The page number I choose from corresponds to what week of games it is. All you need to do to have a chance of playing is post an in-game name I can contact you on in a reply to this thread.
Rules for Posting:
1. Make sure you include at least one IGN I can contact you on.
2. Do not post until your week has passed. (For example, if your post is on page 5 and week 4 has not yet been played, you must wait until I have chosen someone else for week 5 before you may post again.)
3. If you were chosen to play a game, you must wait until January 1st to apply again.
4. You must be online when I try and contact you. If you are not, I will try contacting someone else.
Times and dates of games may vary, but right now I am shooting for Sunday Afternoons and Evenings.
[mod]Failure to adhere to these rules will result in disqualification if you are chosen to play as well as possible warnings / suspensions from the forums if it becomes a repeated problem.[/mod]
Classic Deal involves 10 different 'cases' of zeny that the contestant can choose from. The ten tiers are:
1 zeny
50 zeny
250 zeny
1,000 zeny
10,000 zeny
100,000 zeny
500,000 zeny
1,000,000 zeny
2,500,000 zeny
10,000,000 zeny
I correspond these amounts to the numbers 1 through 10 before the game begins.
At the beginning of the game you will choose one number that you think has the 10,000,000 zeny.
The first round you will eliminate three numbers (and three zeny amounts), at which time I will give you an offer corresponding to the zeny amounts left on the board. It is then your choice to either take the deal or keep playing!
The second round you eliminate two more numbers before receiving another offer.
From then on out, it is one number at a time until only two numbers are left. At this point, you will have the choice to keep your number or trade it for whatever one is left. You then win that much zeny.
In the event of a 'win' under 10,000 zeny, you will at least walk away with an extra booby prize. =)
Hide & Seek
When a Hide and Seek event begins, a server-wide announcement will be made and some form of clue will be given as to my location. Your job is simply to find me! The first player to discover my location will receive a prize. Remember to check this thread every few minutes to see if I've been found or if a new clue has been posted to my location. Clues are posted every five minutes if I am not found.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why can I never win your events?
A: Some are based on luck, some are based on skill, but I assure you that I never play favorite to anyone. Everyone receives the same clues regardless of whether they know me or not, whether I personally like them or if I've ever had a problem with them in the past.
Q: Can you ban this bot, answer my ticket, etc. etc. etc.
A: I am not a GM. I am an active player in the community and I moderate here on the forums, but I cannot help you with any in-game (or out-of-game, for that matter) problems such as lost items, bot reports, etc.
Q: Can I have free stuff?
A: No. 99% of the time, you need to win an event to get a prize. The other 1% are times where prizes are dropped for Porings or something.
Q: Why did ____ receive a better prize than me?
A: Most prizes are out of my own pocket. The GMs do supply some items, but I like to give away extra stuff as well. Most of the time prizes correspond to the difficulty of the event. If I am found right off the bat for Hide and Seek, for instance, it obviously wasn't too hard and the prize won't be as great. =)
Q: Can you stop with the server announcements? It's so annoying.
A: These are how I let people know events are going on. If you don't want to participate, that's your choice, but I do not think they are causing you any sort of bodily harm. I do not announce every little thing, so you should only have to put up with it for a short time.
Q: Why are you not answering my PMs?
A: I generally receive several PMs when I make server announcements from people who have never seen them before, are confused about rules, etc. and it can get a little overwhelming while I'm trying to do something else (run an event). If I don't respond to it, be assured that I did read it and either appreciated your enthusiasm / compliment, shook my head at your rude / insulting / angry comment or will respond to your question when I have time.
Good luck!
