So i recently hit lvl 55 on my tempest and grabed a FOC shilvara set for tempest. Now I don't know what to enchant for each armor and how far I should reinforce it.. Im also afraid of failing if I go too high. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Hi.

My suggestion is that you may reinforce it to +10. Shouldn't be hard without cash involved unless you are very unlucky, and the bonus is okay. And for enchants, since this is just a lv 55 set and as a tempest you will reach 65 in no time. (work more on the next FOC set) Not an urgent need to put xeons on it. Save points (if you use ion mine xeons) for the future. If you die a lot (which you won't if you do it right anyway, you have a good heal) and are desperate for little more survivability, you may use 10-10 defense xeons from mob loots. :p_devil:

Ah well I don't know about getting to 65 fast because i've been playing my lower level shaman more but after reinforcing everything to +10 would it be wise to use some defense xeons and int ones / magical attack?

Defense is okay if you are desperate for better survivability, like have you died a lot from grinding?

You can't enchant magic attack on armour. However, if you would like a small boost from mob dropped xeons, int xeons and 1-1 elec xeons are the only choices. Unfortunately the effect is too insignificant to be noticed. Still things would add up and it's all up to your choice. :p_devil:

Hm I die once in awhile if my mob goes out of control and if I don't pay attention. Is hp/mp recovery a good choice or no also? Thanks for the helpful tips so far!

HP/MP recovery xeons are a total waste of space. Don't bother .

Use defense only on your armor at this point in time; it always works, even 10 defense make a difference (perhaps not noticeably, but the fractions add up). And dying is normal as you learn your class, just don't overpull :p_devil:. Even then, you can sleep most of them and lesser heal every what, 2 or 3 seconds? should keep you alive with ease on the rest. To summarize if you pull too much: lightning restraint in front of the mobs as they run at you, sleep, kite around lightning restraint and lay aoes ontop of it for the rest (run circles around your lightning restraint; mobs are too slow to get out of the aoes if you do it right, and you will get hit far less).

alright thanks. Also is it a good idea to try and get matched xeons to the ones on the FOC equipments? I'm talking about how each equip has its own "special" pre-enchanted level 2 xeon.. Should i get a bunch of those and upgrade it to lvl 3 if possible?

not possible. the "buff" xeons on FOC are there to stay; don't enchant any buff xeons onto it.

In fact you can overwrite that armour buff. I did HP buff on my FOC helmet I think. There are 6 parts of the 65 FOC set but you can only activate 5 buffs at the same time because two of them are in the same group. As a Tempest I recommend enchanting Max HP up 60 when you get your next FOC set because your max HP is so crappy. Make sure you enchant on one of the two overlapped buffs.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. If any buff/weapon xeon (like defense down for instance) is on an item, and you enchant another onto it, you will gain lose the original enchant and gain the new one. For example, if I had a weapon with Short range defense down III on it, then I realize I'm a mage and enchant a skill crit up III onto the same weapon, only the skill crit will function.
