How do I do it? What is the chance of losing the piece of equipment and/or the card?

Normal Oil: 16 fruits? <-- 160kp, something like 15-20% for card, 20-25% equip, 15-25% degrade. totally forgot, i just made that up lol read here: http://forums.irowik...ead.php?t=91412
Good Oil: 32 fruits? <---- 320kp, better chances
MVP Card Oil: 192 fruits? <--- 2k kp, chances are unknown, but I assume the card is un-destroyable for the cost of this KP. However, if the equip itself is under 2k kp worth (so about 150mil), then just use heroic desocketing.

If you do it with no oil, it costs 1m zeny, and has a higher chance of destroying the card.

Well, 192 fruits sounds a bit overkill, so I think I'll take my chances with the good oil. If I lose my equipment I'm seriously going to slit my wrists, haha.

Oh actually the high rank oil costs 56 silvervine fruit and the regular rank costs 36 fruit. The in-game wording is so vague that I'm a little scared to try this. Apparently, you can either lose all refinement bonuses or the piece of equipment itself, and the high rank doesn't help that (just guarantees that the card will be saved, I think)? But the NPC says that the equipment has the risk of being destroyed only if you don't use any oil. I'm so confused. Well, since I bought the oil already, I might as well try...

Malangdo translation on irowiki for enchantment/decarding/item description is much more accurate than in-game depiction. Everything in that thread's been tested by kRO players. Better luck next time ^^;

I believe PoringPower used Normal Oil instead of High Quality Oil
No Oil = 1,000,000z
Normal Oil = 32 Silvervines
High Quality Oil = 192 Silvervines

I believe PoringPower used Normal Oil instead of High Quality Oil
No Oil = 1,000,000z
Normal Oil = 32 Silvervines
High Quality Oil = 192 Silvervines

MVP CARD OIL <- ONLY USED IF YOU HAVE MVP CARD, IT ONLY LETS YOU USE THIS OIL AND NOTHING ELSE BCOZ ITS A FREAGGIN MVP CARD = 192 silvervines

The real question though is if there is a way to get the damn Sivervine Fruit through quests or monster drops or if it is ONLY a Kafra shop thing.

I have to say the answer to that question will tell me if I bother with the added content at all.

Must say that I am kind of glad that apparently Elven Bow is NOT on the enchantable list along with Orc Archer Bow not being there either. Would just be friggin insane.


Is it just me or do the new enchants just mostly seem designed for Casters or Ranged Damage? I mean the Spell 1-6 enchants are really just going to be for the VCast Reduction not the puny MAtk boost.

Am I the only one who thinks that reducing FIXED CAST TIME by 1% is just a friggin waste of time? It would be major IF it was -0.5 or -1 second but 1% is just pointless. Not sure why they bothered adding that onto the MAtk% increase.

Also Fighting Spirit enchants also seem kind of bad. I mean even at FS lvl 8 it's only +27 Atk. I would much rather see FS lvl % damage increase kind of like ExArcher skill (Which is 2*EAlvl %).

iRO's Malangdo Island works exactly the same as kRO. Silvervine fruit is only obtainable through cash shop. It's not dropped by any monsters, quests and you can't upgrade Grade A coins into Silvervine fruit or downgrade Aqua Lord's Fury into silvervine fruits.

It seems that vast majority of people don't even bother reading the information that's readily available to them and end up making mistakes (such as using decarder without the knowledge of the approximate chance of success). I wish them good luck in future content patches (Kagero&Oboro, 14.2 - Eclage, WoE:TE, Old Glastheim, Heroes' Trails part 1, 2 etc).

I did read that iRO wiki thread... just not carefully enough, I guess. The stupid in-game descriptions are conflicting (seriously, read the NPC's text and the item description of the high rank oil), too, but I should've expected that.

Omg I've been sending eeeeeeeveryone your translation page link, and then the next second they ask "where to get silvervine fruit? how to enchant? how to get grade A coin?" and lucky thing I'm so patient to explain it to 23982394 people even though they don't bother to read the most detailed and readied info in front of them -. - ergh
