1v1 - Just use combos and don't lock (I mean you can, but that's frowned upon and I'm sure your opponent will want to lock you as well).

group - Anything goes, get buck.

Why should you hold back from aasing?

Like Nilla said, it's greatly frowned upon, but nobody is enforcing such a rule.

Usually players who refrain from spamming do it out of courtesy and to also challenge themselves like any other devoted PVPer would do.
I fail to see how people can find any joy in winning a game just by abusing a cheap skill which any numbtard with the ability to hold down a button can easily do.
In simple terms, spamming AAS just makes PVP for both players, dull and boring.

It's been demonstrated countless amount of times, that archers don't have to spam AAS or rely on it to be effective in PVP.

This is for those who has the 'AAS WINS IT ALL' mentality.
Try playing a skilled PVPer, your AAS spamming will only be futile if you can't even catch or launch the guy properly.
I've beaten plenty of AAS spammers before and here's the reason why.
The problem lies in the way these players think, they concentrate so much in ending the game ASAP by trying to get in that one good launch that they completely forget to THINK or even strategize.
Probably due to the fact that that's how they've always won matches against other newbs that they're so deprived of skills and discipline.
Which is why, players shouldn't depend on AAS, it will only destroy their chance of greatening their skills and competency.

Sick of the AAS QQing.

AAS is a piece of junk skill anyways. Unless you have maxed out or almost maxed out AAS speed, it'll hardly do anything to you if your gears are decent.

I'll list some easy counters:

Mage classes (both of them): Just get some HLT, tank the AAS, and heal (slow heal for BMs). Don't cry about "omg they infi lock me", because it's easy to get out of it unless ur a newb.

Warriors: Swords dance which u can get at level 3 or something = they can't launch you. SD is literally THE easiest skill to hit with EVER. If you can't pull this off then quit PvPing.

Thief Classes: Burrow. Use rocket stun before they're in your screen to catch them (trust me it works VERY well). Sins can use swift if they're good.

Archer Classes: Fight fire with fire. Deal with it. Higher balance of skill+gear=win.

Enjoy^

All your counter require a skill to be cast. What do you do when you're silenced?

I'm guessing "don't get hit by the silence trap" for his answer.

Yeah, I've found that it's usually pretty easy to avoid their skills if you stay above or below their position on the, uh... x-axis? Like this (assuming you = x, pf = y):

x

y

Not like this:

x y

If that makes any sense.

Sure, I'm a 3x PvPer, but I've played plenty of 40+ people too, but god it's just damned logic. PF traps are annoying as hell, but you just have to deal with it because they're THERE. What do you want me to say? "Don't mind the trap, it doesn't matter if it gets you or not."

Honestly, I don't see what's the big deal with what I'm saying.

There are a lot more annoying skills than PF traps.

AAS is technically a 1 hit kill if you have very fast aas... If not a 1 hit kill, it'll still take a huge chunk out of your hlth. I don't really get how you get out of aas once you're already locked in it (unless you have a huge amount of block or evade...) Don't you mean avoiding to get launched? Burrow now has a long cooldown, so you can't burrow every time the player uses a launch(which in most cases have small cooldowns) and rocket stun requires cast timing (HUGE DISADVANTAGE), it's also easy to get out of the sins swift(very easy). SD is one of the most imba catching skills, but it has its limits, Pfs has around 6 launching skills and a sheeeeet load of traps to set you off, even if you do have sd you're still at a big disadvantage... Grenadiers have cheap tactics too like gatling gun -> RA which is used a lot, it shouldn't be that hard to pull off anyways if you're skilled. Mages stacking health won't do much against a very fast aas user (which most have) mainly because aas DOES have infinite combos which can be easily pulled off (in the third class anyways) and like I said, even if the person doesn't die by the first aas it'll still take a huge chunk out, especially for just holding down 1 key button. Archer vs archer is technically the first launch (not much skill in that)

I could totally understand why people QQ about the aas spam even though I'm one myself, and yes it should get a nerf... Combos could still be used with the aas but it shouldn't be a "standing there and watching you die in the air" skill, but of course, this game IS imbalanced and it'll take a while for the game developers to realize the full potential of aas lmao (even if they did try to reduce the damage)

Most of the people I've encountered in PvP recently tend not to spam AAS as a general rule, at least not in 1v1. They'll do it for a few seconds, then let me fall and have a chance to escape. So I try to return the favor and only do 1 frog/freeze at a time so it's a little more balanced.
