Hey guys. I used to play a 60 Priest (back when 60 was max) on the IAHgames server.
My main build consisted of heavily stacking ATK SPD because I had a good computer.
I haven't played for 2 years now, but I just made a priest on this server today..
And Double Shot seems so slow, even with some ATK SPD% items.
Is it worth making a Priest for x-spam now? Or did Priest double shot get nerfed really hard? I really, really enjoyed my priest back then but I'm not sure if my gold and time investment on my new priest in this server will be worth it..
tl;dr -> Is building attack speed on Priest worth the money now or is double shot nerfed to the ground?
Thanks in advance!
Priest X-Spam : Is it the same as 2009-2010 era?

I can't pretend to know how good it was back in the day, but it really doesn't seem worth it to me nowadays. At the very least it's decidedly not fun.

I might be wrong but i think it only got nerfed by changing it into an active skill with a duration of 4 minutes and 230 seconds (?) cooldown

You are correct. Personally, I prefer PvE and avoid Double Shot completely. I have 168% ASPD on my Priest and I have a higher DPS with Diffusion Cannon than with Double Shot because I tend to get up close and personal, so all 3 shots will connect. If you need the math, I may be wrong, but I believe it might go something like this:I might be wrong but i think it only got nerfed by changing it into an active skill with a duration of 4 minutes and 230 seconds (?) cooldown
Double Shot - (112% + 40) x 2 = 224% + 80
Diffusion Cannon - (78% + 50) x 3 = 224% + 150
I also prefer Diffusion Cannon because the duration is twice as long, so I don't have cast it as often (MP cost is the same for both, however) and there is a physical representation that the skill is active (3 orbs float around the player). Because Double Shot was originally a passive skill, the player did not need any type of representation... if you put the skill points in, you always had Double Shot on.
I made my Priest and a Wizard just to get a better feel for each class and I like them both. My Priest destroys everything in his path with X-Spam, but as DracoHandsome pointed out, it really is quite boring. Additionally, there is nothing worse than having to run back into town to repair your weapon after two or three Mission Maps. The upside is that I have zero use for potions, so I sell any that I pick up and I don't spend a dime on them either. Instant Heal for emergencies and Slow Heal if I have the time. My Wizard, on the other hand, burns though MP like crazy. All that power has to come with a cost, eh?

Another question.
Back in the day, ASPD only affected Double Shot, and not Diffusion Cannon.
Does ASPD affect Diffusion Cannon now? Basically, does stacking ASPD work on increasing an Invoker's Diffusion Cannon DPS? Thanks in advance.

ASPD will make Diffusion Cannon and Double Shot faster. I'm not exactly sure where you stop noticing the upgrade, I'm at 175 ASPD with my Priest and it seems just as fast as 160 ASPD.
Your mileage may vary.
