Assuming a weapon with 100 base weapon attack (which is pretty low.)

940 Stat.Pts. = 91 STR = 91 Status_ATK, +45 Wep_ATK
940 Stat.Pts. = 90 STR, 6 LUK = 92 Status_ATK, +45 Wep_ATK <-- better by 2 ATK

951 Stat.Pts. = 92 STR = 92 Status_ATK, +46 Wep_ATK <-- Exact same total atk
950 Stat.Pts. = 90 STR, 11 LUK = 93 Status_ATK, +45 Wep_ATK <-- better by 1 ATK
953 Stat.Pts. = 90 STR, 12 LUK = 94 Status_ATK, +45 Wep_ATK <-- better by 2 ATK

(I don't want to split hairs over the fact that status attack is doubled in damage calculation, as we're talking like 2 damage at most which is irrelevant).

Not hard to split those hairs - I don't approve of oversimplifying the mechanics you're using in your calculations, especially when a proper treatment is easy.

I will admit that I was overestimating the effect of luk (I'm used to genetic, where it's a bit more helpful since it's helping on the matk too - there 3 luk > 1 str, here it's 4.5ish). But I stand by 11 luk before going beyond 91 str, 21 luk before going beyond 100 str.

I think if you need the weight capacity (like in a throw kunai build) luk isn't as much of a no-brainer as you implied.

Hey, sorry to hijack this. Not turning it into a sale thread, but I'm just letting you guys know. I'm already tired of Kagerou, so I'm trying to sell my +7 double kingbird (AS) huuma swirling petal. It has Dex +1 enchant and MDEF +8, but those can be reset. :3

If you get Kunai explosion and Swirling Petals together on a huuma build, the damage from KE is going to be weaker, but since they can be cast one after another while the previous attack's on cooldown, which build theoretically has a higher sustained damage? I know KE builds output more initial burst, but there is a delay between each strike where you're kind of just twiddling your thumbs. Maybe the huuma build outputs a steadier DPS and is therefore better suited to MVPing or whatever?

I'm running a KE build right now but I have to admit that using swirling petals is very tempting even though the numbers for this skill don't look great.

Swirling petals also does damage over time (albeit short) unlike the kunai explosion with outputs damage at once . Swirlling petals will allow mobs to attack you more often while the huuma is chopping them up. KE + SP cleanup combo is probably if can't one shot. I have noticed that the KE + SP combo works best after you thin out the main mob and take out the remain mob

I've bought myself a +8 double kingbird huuma petal which I intend to use when I hit lv 110. But I also have a +4 grimtooth and a quad kingbird main guache for Kunai explosion. I feel like the petals build does have some convenience advantages over just pure KE, especially if you're a pure PVM kage, so I'm going to get both skills and see how I feel about using the huuma.

at the very least, SP is a lot flashier thank KE, KE makes me think of using Arm Cannon as a mado Mech, but with a wider AOE lol.

KE, SP each have their advantages... SP has a faster cast time larger AoE and its AoE isnt based on line of sight (the target is line of site but the aoe expands out from the center target point allowing you to attack around corners), KE does more damage and never misses providing the enemy is in the blast area... KE is forced neutral while SP is not

i killed Maya today al level 120 with KE, SP, illusion shadow and pure soul only... my gears are all less than +5 and none of my stats are over 90...

K/O have -very- low HP pools. I don't think they're well suited to high-end MVPing solo, but in a group with a tank, they can certainly pump out a lot of damage it seems.

the trick to MVPing on Kagerou is to keep Pure soul up and keep spitting out clones... this will help with HP issues a bit... i only have 11k hp and didnt have many issues other than trying to find the MVP first

Let me know what you think about this combination of skills Lucky =) I keep vacillating over having SP in a build or not. I'm assuming you are gear switching betweeen your Huuma Petal and your daggers for SP/KE use?

Also, if you don't mind, please let me know how your stat build for your ninja thing is: did you bother incorporating much in the way of AGI, or mostly just sticking to STR/DEX and some VIT/INT along the way? Looking at the feedback here, AGI doesn't really seem that hot to get, even though it's in the SP formula.

There is a 3 second Delay on Swirling Petals that is reducable by Magic Strings and other similar effects. However, the 1 second Cooldown that Swirling Petals has cannot be reduced in any way. I hope this helps clarify.

the only way to get max hits is at max level... check to make sure the level you have hotkeyed is level 5...

depends on melee i say kage also kage are better disabler/support in pvp/WoE

lets not forget that oboro skills are pretty reliant on where their stats/hp/sp are at the time.... meaning there will be times where the "buffs" become "debuffs"

Ninja Experts(mostly Facekiller) I need advice!

 

I'm probably gonna leave the 100 range TI after my last job level and face all level 100 monsters. I need to know where to put this skill point.

 

Should I:

- max pure soul?

- level 3 16th night?

- Illusion Shadow?

 

My current skills are:

5 swirling petal

4 pure soul

2 16th night

1 earth charm

 

Also why is Tenebris not working? I get mobbed all the time and I never see it pop out a shadow.

max pure soul then get 16th night 3 then get illusion shadow... the reason the tenebris hasnt worked is because it procs teh clone at the LEVEL LEARNED... if you havent learned illusion shadow yet it wont proc...
