Ok guys so today i finally got to 99/70 and i finally got to the part of the warlocks battle test and heres the thing. this test is insanely crazy as soon as im in the room theres 2 nagas, 2 bradium, 2 aquas and 2 pinguiculas. i thought it was a set of 1 naga 1 bradium 1 aqua and 1 pinguicula and another set of 4 but no theres 8 monsters in the room!!!!! how am i suppose to handle 8 monsters? as soon as im in i cast safety wall on myself then SG1 they all freeze but the 2 aquas and 2 aquas are enough to kill me in less than 2 seconds not even healing myself makes me survive if i manage to survive the 2 aquas by rapidly tappin the button where i have my leafs set the other monsters unfreeze and just finish me off faster than u could imagine what to i do is there something wrong with this test? i talked to one of my warlock friends and she said it suppose to be 2 sets of 4 then porings and the stone thing. why is there 8 monsters together as soon as i spawn in the room!? HELP ME!

The hard part is overcoming the lag. Just hope they do something to fix it. D:

I passed it by first frost nova, quag, move to corner, sw. Then I used CL on the water guys, then FN, sw, quag, CR on the rest. The second part is easier cuz you start on a corner, so just handle a few at a time.Bring about 40 whites, and 20 gems, get a priest to buff u before going in.

Or if you can find a really friendly guild, try to ask them nicely for some ranked white slims. It's a lot lighther than normal white pot and heals better.

Get to the corners ASAP. I managed the test on my first run with very poor gears, without the aid of lowerping. It is quite difficult. Bring a lot of potions. You can also use token of siegfrieds during the test as a last option.

Frost Nova works just as good as SG. The purpose is to get the mobs Frozen before using the Chain Lighting stone. If you're using SG, use Lv1 of it. fat White Potions are also more than enough to get you through this part of the test. Phen and Swordfish card make this test extremely easy.

Question..............whoever said it is super easy and not worth asking about........who have you actually used pure eden gear and normal white potions that weigh a tonne?

That video wizard posted obviously were not using eden gear.....

If you dont have frost nova, use sg lvl 1 when you entere. Then drag the aqua around the corners of the room until you get ot the bottom corner, Firewall them then CL them till they die. Probably need 2 CLs to kill both of them. Then just sw urself, sg lvl 1 to freeze, then keep JT them 1 by 1. As soon as u JT a monster, cast sg lvl 1 again so they'll freeze again if they come charging at you when they don't die.

Thanks for the help guys. i finally managed to pass it after trying like 15 times lol i had to collect some hinalle leaflets i took like 300 of em with me and SG1 as soon as i entered then moved quick to a corner the 2 aquas were the ones giving me a very difficult time since they hit kinda hard. i chain light them and they died as soon as they died i safety wall myself and waited for the rest to come at me and SG1 them and crimson rocked them twice. and repeated the process with the next set. porings well just SG them all and jupitel thunder non stop the stone. i seriously could not believed i had passed the test when everything was over lol felt like a miracle LOL btw i was healing myself non stop i was literally rapidly just tapping where i had my hinalles set lol. but oh well its over its finally over haha. btw is there a harder test than the warlock one?

Depends on the person doing them. For some people, most of the tests are easy or maybe all of them because of their experience or gears. For some people,a lot are hard for them because they are generally new to the game or don't have that much experience .I have seen people complain about the Ranger test just as much as the Warlock one.But generally, most people have commented that the WL test is the hardest,so I'd go with that one. This test was quite easy for me when I took it even though I had next to no gear or experience with mage classes when I did it.Like I said,it depends..

THe ranger one is really about skill cause you are not allow to have any gear apart from eden gear........WL ones will vary alot depend on gear.

The WL test is very hard without some basic gear and knowledge of wiz skills. Yes, both are a given need anyway, but for people who're just trying out the wizard class and new players... It's quite a challenge. I had someone spend multiple runs because they didn't know nagas were earth; he used CL against them since they used waterball.

And please do ignore all the people feeling superior and being condescending to people who have issues with the quest. It is indeed one of the harder 3rd class quests, and it does get frustrating. You're not alone in that.

A good alternative for healing is mastela fruits, they're a bit more expensive but they do the job.

First off, congratulation in passing the test!! I had to agree with Rirezz on ignoring the obnoxious putting down others who find the test hard. I took 3 tries myself to pass the test using mostly crappy gears. Coming back to RO from pre-re I had no idea how a lot of things changed. Back in the days I remember how a ton of us get by fine with mediocre gears, but these days gears can make tremendous difference when dealing with higher level monsters.

Wizard class were never meant to be tankers but with Renewal almost every class has AOE, need enough Vit to tank, While Mage classes are still squishy as ever , so increased the challenge to play Warlock class compared to most other classes.

I would recommend focusing on gearing up than leveling too rapidly now you are a warlock. Gears takes awhile to gather as a lot can be pricey.

Again, congratulation!! It IS a great feeling when you finally passed the test for the first time! :) Celebrate it! xD

If you need pots or anything, feel free to send me a message. Warlock test was the first one I did after coming back for my pre-re break, so I know it can be tough.

thanks for the offer..appreciate the help ! :)
My guildies ( * looks at ben ) helped my high wiz become a WL atlast !!!!!

Off topic question :

is this build good for WL ( strictly PVM ) : http://irowiki.org/~...DqOqSaoebdocHcY
My WL is still having basic eden gears & some more..i'll start farming mora coins..which mora gears are more preferred |?

also i saw this in a pinned thread here :

]1.5 Skill Order for Warlock[/u]
This is just what I'd recommend getting once you hit warlock:
Reading Spellbook 1 - For your initial levels, instant casting SG 10 with this and release makes it worthwhile getting
Release 1 - To release the stored spells from Reading Spellbook
Summon Fireball 1 - Prerequisite skill
Crimson Rock 5 - Main leveling skill
Summon Waterball 1 - Prerequisite skill
Frost Misty 2 - Prerequisite for Jack Frost
Jack Frost 1 - AoE to make enemies frozen

From here, you can go a couple of ways:
Option 1) Summon Lightning 1 > Chain Lightning 5
Option 2) Summon Stone 1 > Sienna Execrete 2 > Earth Strain 5
Option 3) Radius 1 > Drain Life 1 > Soul Expansion 3 > White Imprison 1 > Stasis 1 > Release 2 > Recognized Spell 1
You should take all three options, but the order is up to you. Personally, I'd recommend taking option 3 first.
Afterwards, you can dump the extra points anywhere you'd like.

some guy in-game told me option 3 is really not that good ? is it true or should i continue with option 3 ?

I actually went for the recognized spell path. I prefer being able to reliably kill things (usually with the JF/SG + CR combo) than getting CL/ES. I never really used CL/ES... I leveled up to 130ish (iirc) at rachel sanctuary, then the rest at scarabs (alternating with TIs when possible), so I never really needed either of those.
