I am done with Gravity games once RO1 dies.

And to anyone thinking of moving to RO2, consider this: If RO1 was handled this poorly, with lag spiking unchecked, bots running rampant, bugs that have been in the game for months or even years riddling the software, and a management team that cares more about shortterm profit from pay2win over the longterm health and population of the game that they've been driving away, what makes you think RO2 will be any better?

Answer: It won't be. It will be the same issues as before, if not worse. I think those considering moving to RO2 are hopelessly naive. Or they just don't learn.

Even if there are aspects of RO2 which look slightly enticing to me, I need only to remember how RO1 is being handled to have the renewed will to resist.

I'll give a try, of course.
Gravity could have a great game, we'll see with time.
RO1 is the best mmorpg ever for me. I've played WoW, Tera, AoC, UO, ROSE, and a lot more... and none is better than ro for me, WoE is the best PvP event.
I'd like a 100% clone of ro1 in 3D, but seems impossible, so i'll give an oportunity to ro2.

PD: yeah, RO has an lag problem, hope Gravity give more resources for ro2.

Already tried it years ago before it flopped, and tried it again when they had that testing period, so nope. It's only remotely similar to RO, and I have no interest in learning to play a completely new game.

Definitely! That is if Warp Portal doesn't make it a pay2win game like the recently launched RO2 server located at the east.

they should add ro1 mechanics and stuff with time. Maybe is not a ro1 clone, but could be a real enhaced version if Gravity really listen the players

See, your problem is you are addicted to Chinese -_- MMO's. I know, you see the pretty banners on websites and go "oooh, so cute!" and try it out.
And you are doing exactly what they are designed for - lure a player in with pretty pictures and a few hours of decent gameplay - get a bit of cash from them - then the rest of the game is -_-.

You need to try Guild Wars 2 or League of Legends. Those are REAL games with REAL content.

Sorry but I certainly do not think those games he mentioned above are Chinese mmo games. I believe you're referring to anime-styled mmorpgs. I agree that they're designed to lure gamers due to their graphics, but paying real cash for in game items, enjoying the gameplay are up to players. Different people have different opinions regarding the games they're into.

Be it GW2 or LoL or any other indie games out there, they are all real games. Perspective. It's just how you see it.

RO2 already has RO1 mechanics the only real thing they changed was the card system and WoE and they took out the merchant class. Im sure they will be adding more stuff though there is a lot of potential they got working here to keep it in the spirit of RO1 but still keep it its own game. I think the reason ppl are unsure of it is cuz they expect it to be an RO1 clone and they forget it is meant to be its own game. It rly isnt a bad game yea they could have done some thing different.

Oh please stop comparing an MMORPG to WOW this game is nothing like WOW. If u think it is a WOW clone then u dont rly play to many MMORPGs. WOW wasn't really an original MMORPG like everyone thinks it is/was they just used elements that worked form other MMORPGs. But please tell me what makes it a WOW clone and I bet ull describe every MMORPG out there.

I'll need a more powerful computer to run it, most likely, but I'll certainly give it a shot. Unlike some others who I won't name, I'm keeping an open mind about RO2's mechanics and content. I understand that it's supposed to be its own game, and not just a simple rehash of RO1, and I don't mind having to learn whatever "new" things RO2 will definitely introduce.

Alot of people expected it to be like Ro1. But like others have said..it's it's own game. And yes, it is similar to WoW with the way professions are handled and the ! and ? type of quests. I found it to be fun and made 3 lvl 50's on the SEA server. But for me it's all about the community and finding a good guild. So I'll be playing because I am hoping the NA community will be better than the SEA community.

Also if you guys would like to start looking at the classes and skills, check out ---- http://www.ro2skillsim.com/

You also have to put into account RO2 has raid party set ups so you can have 10+ ppl in a party. Since im havnt read up on the raid set ups in WOE it might be 20 person + party raid sets so in the end you can still group up as a guild a lot better than in RO1. I havnt WoE in years on RO1 tho so incase that changed not my fault.
I myself played all beta on KRO2 and SEARO2 I have found Warp portal is running things alot better just from this start but however.
If things start stuffing up eg:changing release date and making it 2 months later instead lol and ending up having 100k ppl and one server.

Also I wanted to ask anyone when the RO2 forum section will come ppl from another site i know have info and I dont know if I can post there link here

It depends on how much is different in iRO2 than what is out now (doubt there is anything different in the status right now), and I don't think there is anything against it as long as its not to another server

You get that with EVERY MMORPG out there even the ones before WOW it wasn't something new, WOW wasn't the first game to do that.

I will see you there!

I understand somewhat on why people won't play it alot of OG's in this forum but I look at it like this everything has to come to an end at some point.

Plus I dont play PC games anyway so the whole WoW clone thing don't affect me because I never played it. :p_idea: -Poop

Guild Wars 2 has awsome graphics but unless you liek those PvP events the world v world is ok you pretty much take down forts and its running 24/7. The mechanics are alot different you can actually dodge int he game by rolling and targeting while moving I played it for a while then ended up having to have half dozen eye operations. So now i cant concentrate on it >_<

Not playing it.

3d games where there's background scenery give me motion sickness, and I just plain don't like them much. I don't want to start a new MMO right now anyway.

I backed Star Citizen on Kickstarter, so in like a year or two, that should be out, and I'll be playing that if I play an MMO, most likely. Unless it ends up sucking or something, which would suck.

I want to atleast try it out. I'm still pretty loyal to the original Ragnarok for multiple reasons - one of which being it's one of very few that uses 2D for the more cartoon/anime feel and isn't the same as all the other 9 million 3D MMORPGs... but I'm still willing to give RO2 a shot, if not for a change of pace and show some support.
