If they think that throw kunai is op'ed, there are plenty of other skills that are more op'ed that throw kunai. To name a few, Gates of hell and Arrow storm. Gates of hell pretty much 1-shots most people in pvp and woe and kills monsters mostly in 1 shot. Arrow storm does 50-100k to mobs. So, in my opinion, throw kunai isnt op'ed. There are plenty of op'ed skills/gears out there! I guess the saying might go like this... more nerfs = more people quiting?
Pretty much. Throw kunai did make leveling to 99 a cake? Sure. But thing is, at the end of the day it's still a single targetting skill that will carry no one to 150.
And come on, between "thinking kunai is OP" and cutting its damage down to 1/5 or less it's a huuuge step.

My Kagerou has always had 120 base dex. That's a load of crap. Also 71k to 16k ain't half.Throw kunai was always bugged to apply the elemental mod twice (so on neutral enemies you'd do like 5k, and then on elementally weak you'd do 20k... a huge jump. Because it applied the 2x mod twice [ 5*2*2=20 ]). It's possible they fixed that (so damage would be half what it was, easily). I also heard rumblings about the formula being switched so throw kunai functions off DEX as your ATK stat, someone should investigate that.

i call bullsh*t on that... you cant even equip a decent weapon at that level... OP is Gates of hell, Arrow Storm, Comet.... throw kunai is a single target elemental physical ranged attack and they are heavy as hell.... not to mention you need to get dagger throwing practice 1 and throw shuriken 5 before you can get throw kunai... which gives you level 4 throw kunai (at job level 10 like you suggested) which at that level you can hit one monster before all your SP is drainedYou have to admin throw kunai was OP. It could do 20k+ damage at level 13/10 ninja

The new Huuma's sucked anyway. Huuma Swirling Petal was still the best one and that's already in I think.not to mention the new huuma STILL are not available... and we STILL cant enchant the Raksasa[1] or wolfs armguard[1] like they are supposed to be... basicly we ninja classes just got bent over and stuffed.... no lube no reach around....
@Jaye: I'll take the TK nerf gladly if they didn't crap all over the other skills. Those weren't needed to crap all over.
...Facekiller did you seriously just say Comet was OP?

+20% Swirling Petal damage will always be better especially when it has two card slots.the snowflake huuma was awesome vs fire types with 9 earth charms... 200 atk on that puppy too
and yeah comet is screenwide causes burning and is neutral element....
You can also only use it once every minute, burning doesn't matter for anything and it consumes 800SP.

Like i said, yeah early game it was really good (not 20k at 13/10, but i get your point) - no arguing there. Later on though, it wasn't THAT gamebreaking. I get that being single target is not the end of the world, but look at the class it was given to... Ninjas don't have much else going on - even more so now with KE's AoE dropped, and swirling seemingly nerfed too and they couldn't be arsed to make new magic skills on kag/obo .
I don't know, maybe throw kunai did deserve a nerf, but not into oblivion like this. Specially since it's also pretty limited element wise - despite being a physical attack you can't even force it neutral to be able to deal with holy/shadow stuff.

The issue is that their 2nd job skills got nerfed massively for NO reason making them worthless.

Who cares/cared? What characters can do at level 100+ matters. You have to admin throw kunai was OP. It could do 20k+ damage at level 13/10 ninja
I saw many Ninja descendants when the new classes got introduced, I've only seen a few lately. This already shows that nothing about these characters was overpowered. Now that these guys got even less powerful, probably no one will play them. Introducing and advertising classes that no one wants to play or can't level half-decently isn't really the best marketing strategy from RO's standpoint.
Not sure if/how they are useful in WoE, but no one levels up there anyway and some people want to have fun outside of that.
