Does this error occur during the installation?

Heres the solution:

!!IMPORTANT!!
- You need administrator rights to follow this steps! If you're not an administrator, ask your parents for help. :)
- English isn't my native language, so I'm sorry if my grammar is a bit off from time to time ^^°
- This guide is based on Windows 7, but Windows 8 isn't that much different, I guess.
- Thanks Alvana, just because of your help I was able to create this! :D

1. Before installing anything open a command prompt by pressing Posted Image + R , inserting "cmd" (without qoutes) and pressing enter

2. Type: net localgroup Users /add (and press enter)

3. Proceed with installation of Ragnarok Online 2

4. You are not done yet! Go to the installation folder. It's probably located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Gravity\

5. Right click on the "Ragnarok 2"-folder and select "Properties"

6. Go to Security-tab, press "Advanced", go to Owner-tab

7. Press Edit-button and select your user-profile

8. Click the bottom checkbox "Replace all child object permissions [...]" and apply the whole stuff

9. Open another command prompt (like you did during step 1)

10. Type: net localgroup Users /delete (and press enter)

11. Now you should be able to start Ragnarok Online 2! ^^

Installing games in the program-folders often causes problems, because these folders are protected by windows. (same with user-folders)
You should ceate a folder like C:\Games\ for all online game.

you have to start the command line with admin-rights, just go to the start-button, search "cmd", right-click it and launch as admin ;)

i got another weird error, i followed the instructions, the installation worked. But when i try to start the client, the updater just kinda freezes for a while and then closes completely

*edit: turns out my Ro2 folder now is marked as read-only (it wasnt before using the second command.)

You should ceate a folder like C:\Games\ for all online game.

I do that since I upgraded from DOS to Win98 many, many years ago, just to keep things clear and to find stuff easier.
I really thought I was the only one D:

That's not a problem. The game is trying to download some updates, but the update server is still offline. ;) So.. all we can do is waiting for the update server to go online. x.x

If you are on Windows XP:
Step 4 - Step 8

Open Windows Explorer,
go to Tools,
Folder Options,
View
and uncheck "Use Simple File Sharing".

Naaah.. :) Maybe I should add that to the guide.. But on the other hand: The update server should go online later anyway. ^^°

Run the CMD as Administrator.

Btw, thanks, i don't know how but even if you're the administrator group, doesn't allow you to run the installer.

So you need to do it "manually"
