Yeap monks are probably the ideal MT among all the tanking classes. Monk can still solo though, might take a bit longer than other dps classes.

Actually they can solo real fine, they just take a bit more time to kill stuff.

Obviously! and yeah, why not? my IGN is Evankhell, I guess yours are the ones from your profile and that you're also playing in the NA server.

Yes, though I'm playing a wizard though. On SEA, Monk is quite expensive to play as a main. :)

Sorry then, Monks only. My religion 'The buddhist way of the Monk' doesn't allow me to talk to other impure breds like...*glancing prepotently...a Wizzzzzz...lol :P

So let me get this straight, u could basically play monk as a DPS also or ?

I mean yeah ppl generally will want you as a tank but, DPS could be viable ?

To be honest, due to ur inability to allocate points into the Acolyte tree...there's pretty much only 1 way to play a monk...there's a limited number of set of skills which you can allocate anyway...

You can be a tank, and your dps will not be greatly affected.

You can be a dps, but you don't lose much of your tanking ability.

Absolutely agreed =_=,. So hard to take down Maya Purple, we really do need FS of priest and sorc if possible.

Here this is my aod/colo gears, stats and skill build w/o buff :3 (I wish it can help for those who wanna be a Tanker build ) :)

After looking at this, i think i wont go for this gear o_o its really ugly in my opinion. I mean we are monks we are supposed to look cool and not like worn out wizards

The thing with Monks is that they are natural tankers due to skills like Iron Skin and Steel Body, but can also be decent DPS but aren't build to be really good DPS. In numbers from 1 to 10 I would give them a 10 in Tanking, but a 7 in DPS.

Then go for my set of clothes then...is really pretty...

Due to the limited number of skill monks can use....it should be a good class for new tankers :)

Can someone verify this for me: Once you turn into a Monk the game will automatically reset All your skills and prevents you from leveling any of your Acolyte skills.

About the basic for Monks. While you are Acolyte you add to INT and when you become Monk you only add to STR? Is that best option to tank?
And that gear is ugly. D:

For the best build fir tanks should i Max out Raging blow and Heavy tackle and just add two points on Lightning Walk or just have 4 points on All three skills. Idk what is better.

Btw I was just wondering, but in general how is the tanking in this game, I mean are alot of the encounters just tank and spank ?
Or is there alot of AoE's I have to move out of as a tank and w/e, just wondering since my comp is so wooden I gotta have minium settings on and dunno if the AoE's will show on my screen :D dont wanna just stand on em~

I was just wondering. Since Colo gear is so good. o.o;
How could we obtain it most effectively as monks, Since we're definitly made for PvE and not for PvP >.> (We might kill one person easy with Guillotine fist, but after that?)

The key is not to die, and you proceed to next rounds by killing monsters, not players.
