Skin Color?

Hello!

I'm really looking forward to playing RO2. However, I was wondering: are we going to see different skin colors available, when creating our characters? I'm talking darker and lighter complexions here.

This is something that I always hoped to see in RO1, but it never happened, sadly. When I first heard about RO2, this was one of the first things I was really hopeful for. Maybe my priest could finally have a dark skin color!

However, just from looking around the internet, it looks like skin color isn't an option in this game. Is this the case? If so, I can't help but ask why. This seems like a general standard, now a days, when it comes to MMOs. I'm hoping maybe this is a future feature? I believe I saw a tan NPC, so... maybe?

Please note I'm not trying to start or suggest any negative racial stuff or anything. Just saying, it would be nice to include some options there, rather than excluding them. Let's see some other skin colors, please? We exist, honest!

In the seaRO2 and kRO2 versions, there are no skin color options. Not sure why. I'd think that having extra skin colors wouldn't be that big of a deal.

In my experience there aren't a ton of Korean games specifically that have skin color options, and even those who do have some, the options aren't that great generally. The characters are designed to more or less look like the manhwa standard, so they all have lightly colored skin for the most part.

Thanks for the info! I appreciate it, and I agree, considering some of the customization options (face shape and eye style??), I wouldn't think that skin color would be a difficult thing to include.

I hope someday other skin colors are included. I'm sure I'm not the only Ragnarok fan who's wondered about this (for both RO1 and RO2!). I distantly hoped that maybe localizing for other regions included this feature. I can understand that this feature may not be largely in demand in other regions... but I can't help but think it would be a welcome addition to a North American one.

I hope the higher ups are listening. :B Ah, well.

Yeah, I'm really hoping for some more skin options at some point too. I don't know how vain that is, but a girl can hope. ;n;

So we woudn't see that much characters looking all alike @.@ And I believe I saw some darker skin coloured npc in Sea too, but can't remember clearly....
Some classes/costumes will really look cool with tanned or dark skin

I'm so glad to hear I'm not alone on this, haha.

I don't necessarily think it's a vain request, Rozelle! As Tsujiko mentioned, the additional customization allows our characters even more personality! In addition, I can't help but think it would make the game itself appear more racially diverse, maybe? I can't see any reason not to support an idea like this, haha.

Please allow skin colors, Warp Portal/Gravity! Pretty please?



Edit #1: Oh, in regards to that NPC, Tsujiko, I remember there was a "dark priest" NPC in one of the quests... ahhh, I can't remember his name, but I do remember he had tanned skin!

Hopefully one day this is going to be implented. As I said, more ways to custom your Chara. And mybe to make it more to like like you. (Although I am a really light skincoloured person.) Or to once taste

I don't recall any other NPCs with a darker skin color, but if anyone knows of any, by all means, please do post!

I do have darker skin, myself. I don't necessarily want all of my characters to look just like me, haha. However, I do think including this option would really appeal to players! Some people might also interpret this exclusion as a negative thing. I don't personally think it was meant to be, but I could see how it could be misinterpreted.

Please do consider implementing this, Warp Portal/Gravity!
