[Instance Bug] Losing connection

Hmmmm, I have a few things to rant about. But before I rant let me atleast start by saying I have done all they have asked. I have send .DMP files and their silly HShield report.

I have all the above issues so I will go through them in detailed manner on what happens.

Instances/DungeonsIf I enter a dungeon recently these have been the instances I have tried due to my level. The instance in the noob zone behind the waterfall, the dungeon where you save the Saintess, and Culvert dungeon.
  • This issue happens to the instances above. It either loads in just fine and screws up on leaving or vise versa. At times I have had it crash/DC on both upon entering and exiting the instances.
  • What happens on the crash is this. I walk in to the instance to have it load in or out. Yet what happens is nothing at all my character just stands there. I'm able to move and everything it just doesn't load. If I turn around to walk around all the NPCs, MOBs, Players are gone. It acts as if the game was solely made for me and I am able to run through everything in that area as long as there is no needing to load such as leaving a zone or whatnot. Also the chat dies too I don't see anything nor can I see anything I type'd.
  • I have to force quit since trying to quit or change characters function just does nothing and never works after this issue. So I have to CRTL+ALT+DEL to bring up task master and end task that way Just to relog and try again. Usually relogging fixes it and I then can enter or leave the instance for that one time. Then if I try to enter or leave again 90% of the time I am force quitting yet again.
Note: I have had this issue changing channels and dieing at times also. Just thought I'd throw that in here aswell.

Friend's List
  • I have ran into this issue also. Either I get a ,"Connecting to messanger Service." or I get a blank friend's list. Once in awhile it'll work fine, or to my knowledge. I'll see who is online and who is offline for a time being.
  • I have come to realize that this seems to be a channel issue, for I get either of the 3 issues with the friend's list depending on the channel I am in.

I have not reinstalled, changed or altered anything due to I don't want to screw anything else up. As I have said before I have submitted the info they requested above and still no responces. Worst support I have seen in a long time, close to GW2 honestly.

Also this issues ONLY started after this PvP patch a few days ago. Worked fine before that night and then BOOM logged online to play and it was screwed. Nothing on their FB page or website saying they are trying to fix the issues yet either. Wish they would atleast tell us something. All we want to hear is they are looking into it and will fix it ASAP. Even if you're lying to us, KEEP US UPDATED!!!!!!!

the problem is windows 8.
i create a partition with windows 7 and the game works perfect
(using the same ragnarok folder)

Windows 8 64 Bit Pro

Did not have this issue even once until after this last patch.
Also affected by random clearing of my skills from my hotbar, inability to connect to the major chat channels, and "Connecting to Messenger Service" popup when trying to access friends list, quite frequently.

It's really annoying having to reopen the client so much.

I did, I ran the debugger as admin through an admin cmd. That's why it has that extra information on each error.

I also have this same problem, after playing for more than 10 mins, whenever I go into a dungeon/instance/Colosseum or whenever I exit those, I have to force close my client via Task Manager. I'm getting tired of having to go through the log-in process every time I enter/exit an instance, especially with the annoying 2nd password.

Getting this problem also. I did Izulde Cave, or Izlude -- whatever its called -- earlier with no connection issues whatsoever. However, upon jumping into Temple of the Sea God, not even 2 minutes or so into it I'm disconnected from the game. It did this a good 3 or 4 times until I gave up and came to post here.

Waited about 5 or so minutes cause I figured I would get vote kicked from the dungeon, and I did, and lo and behold, no connection problems. I didn't have anything running in the background when doing the Temple dungeon just Steam, which is where I downloaded the game from. It can't be steam because as I stated in the first sentence, Izlude Cave with no problem at all.

Strangely enough, this happened after I got a timed item from a quest and equipped it. I doubt it is that, but you never know. Sadly, I can't destroy the item until the time is up which is May 26th (7 day item).

Another day without a reply from tech support. Horrible service. Just submitted yet another ticket. I told them everything I said before, told them don't waste my time trying to say it is an ISP issue when I already know it isn't. Told them also that I doubt they will even respond to this ticket like they didn't to my last ticket. For a company that wants people to spend money on items in the item shop yet doesn't update people on what they are doing or IF they are doing anything about it at all. Told them I surely won't spend money on a game I can't fully play, who would? Told them live chat support would be better then this e-mail crap. E-mail tech support isn't efficient anymore. We need live GMs in game to help with issues like this or to answer tickets. Being able to submitt a ticket ingame would be nice too. Like WoW and have a GM answer you....It is faster and gives the person someone to alk to and instead of someone probably not even glancing at the e-mail and just go, "oh send this reply...." Honestly that is how this support is making me feel. lol Well I haven't gotten a reply in general from the 2 tickets I have submitted. lol Told them they need to look at their forums and see how many people are not liking their tech support and the fact that just having a mod come in here and say, "Hi, we are currently reviewing all the submitted ticket about this instance bug vigorously until we find the solution." would be better then nothing at all.
Sorry I am just getting annoyed that the fact I was playing the game 100% without issues before this Colo patch, but now I can't do instances since colo came out? Seems those that had issues don't now and those that didn't have issues before colo have them now....I feel like they are like, "Well, with the patch we fixed more issues then we caused and can't make everyone happy. So screw the lower number of people having issues we fixed more with the colo patch." I honestly feel that way. Horrible support and it pisses me off because I enjoy(ed) the game when I was able to do instances.

Has anoyone seen or gotten any form of ackowledgment that they atleast recognize this as a problem or anything..... because I'm starting to feel like we are being slightly ignored...
(sorry if i'm wrong just how i'm feeling atm) Just really hope this gets fixed with next patch if not i'll prolly call it quits ( i know no one gives fu** if I quit hehehe)

Was a joke haha I would rather just buy a new mmo than buy windows 7 to play a game that screwed me over for having windows 8 ( i really hope this gets fixed tho)

This issue is caused from the colo patch, Mainly from the RANDOM DUNGEON FINDER.

Willing to bet most of you were alloud in a dungeon you werent supposed to be in, and from there the problem stems.

IE: I didnt have the issue until it let me into [As in it actually let me tp in and didnt say you are an innapropriate level] a wolf cave random dungeon and I was level 31

I'm level 50 idt im now allowed in any dungeons atm lol and the problems started right after colo patch (btw i learned very quickly that dungeon finder doesn't work maybe when i was in my 20's)

.....I don't think anyone has received any solid replies to if they are treating this issue or just leaving it. To be honest whey should be able to fix it since it was fixed til colo patch. I could care less about colo at this point in time. I want to dungeon and gear myself up and everything. Honestly they could have waited for colo. they should back date the colo patch and fix the issue where it'll work with win8 64 pro. I just think it is funny that worked fine before colo and then YAY we can PvP...if it'll let you load in and not have to force log out.....The support for this game is close to nonexistant. Here it is Monday...I bet Tuesday will be another day with no word from them or a fix. >.< FIX YOUR GAME!!!!!

The above is all I can do atm please fix your -_- guys or atleast tell us it's not going to be fixed anytime soon so I can quit, and stop wasting time. Yes it is possible to play if you constantly dc and come in and immediately click the dungeon and whatnot, but do you know how -_- ANNOYING THAT GETS AFTER DOING IT 10 TIMES IN 5 DUNGEONS??(going in and out... thats not counting if you wipe)
