Many times I kill a mob, it drops something I go to pick it up and it just vanishes. I don't even get to see what it was. My char just moves toward the drop to pick it up but it simply vanishes.
Drops disappearing on pick up?

I'm going to 3rd this post. Happens a lot when you try to loot a mob as it is in the animation of "dying". I haven't seen it if I allow a monster to go thru the death animation though.

I noticed if you leave and come back it's shiny again. But when you try to loot it's the same problem. I also noticed it happening on mountains/hills more often. Almost like the mob sunk into the ground too much to loot.

Yes, this bug has become quite a common occurrence. Everyone I've mentioned it to has experienced it and is STILL experiencing it. Probably 25% of my kills wind up like this.

Yep, I've run into this bug several times. I don't care so much, except for the one time it happened for a particular instance fight (this fight has cutscenes) and I lost out on some possible loot I can't get anywhere less unless I go level another character again and mail myself the loot. Rather disappointing.

yep, happens to me every time I try to fix the movement delay with the monster (melee monsters attacking from far away) by moving (the monster suddenly teleports in front of you), after that I try to pick up items the sparkles fade, I cant even collect the monster (chef ingredients).

Yep, I've run into this bug several times. It's so annoying. I try to fix bug with change channel. After reconnect on prev channel i try pick up drops and again run into this bug. Sometimes it make me angry, because i'm feeling must drops card in this moment

+1. It happens to me a LOT. The sparkles disappear VERY quickly after the kill - and I think they just disappear instantaneously instead of fading out like normal.

I missed the chance to pick up pocket watch because of this and can't finish my khara quest way back in the beginning.

In the case of the pocket watch, just ask someone in that area to let you have it after they've finished the khara. Last I checked the thing isn't a bound item.
