What would you recommend for someone who hasn't tanked in RO2 before? I've tanked in other MMORPGs, but I'm unfamiliar with the mechanics of it in RO2.

I've been looking and I see this perpetual back-and-forth about whether Knight and Warrior is better for tanking. Is one more newbie friendly than the other?

Better? Each one has it's strengths.

Eaiser? Knight. Good all-around tank. Damage rotation is very easy as tank spec. You only have 2 tank skills to really worry abuot. Self damage reduction and the big oh -_- aoe party reduction. Knight's aoe is far weaker than than warriors though.

Warrior is a late bloomer since you need to sink 18 points into all the tank skills ( not counting the swordie requirments). You'll also need to make some point sacrafices depending on if you want to get battle manual or max your big attack+ have aoe maxed.

The two class guides go over other this in much better detail. I'd suggest you read them for a better understanding.

Since you said the Knight is easier, I think I'm probably going to go with Knight. A lot of what I read say it's easier to jump in to, and it seems to be the spiritual successor to the Crusader of RO1 (which I loved). Thanks. =3
