Hello guys =)

I'm now level 25 with my Swordman and could change my class. But i can't decide between Knight and Warrior...
What i mean is: It seems EVERYBODY takes Warrior because of the "Big Fat FF-Cloud-Like-Sword" and want to be a "super duper DPS Warrior" (if you ask me, 75% of the Warriors are little Boys xD).

But i don't want to be a DPS character perse, but more a Hybrid Character which is capable of tanking in 5-man Normals (maybe even Hard?) Dungeons - So Knight would be the "easier" choice? But for soloing i don't want to fall asleep (some Knights told me that they doesn't do damage very well and i should become a Warrior...).
If needed i still can purchase a Skill/Stat-Reset to become a full Tank(/DPS) for Raids.

So my questions to you:
- Which class is the better Hybrid class? (so i could dps or tank in 5-mans if needed)
- Which class is played more? (I hate it when 3-4 out of 5 are the same class...)
- Which class' armors are "cooler"? xD

I played around with those two Builds:
Knight: Build (Somewhat "hybridish" but without Shield Fortress)
Warrior: Build (Alternative of a Tank-Build i found, but can it still dish out enought dps to be a dps in 5-mans?)

Both would have Stats something like (36STR, 31AGI/VIT)

What do you think, any Tipps?

Thank you in advance =)

p.s.: If something isn't clear (because of poor english xD) please let me know ^^

If you're interested in keeping your party alive for raids, go for Knight (Shield Fortress). If you're more interested in yourself, go for Warrior.

If you put maybe half the effort into reading the stickied threads under this forum than you did into making this post, you would already have your answer. From what you're saying it's quite clear that you should be a warrior but you don't like the aethetic of the class and you've already gone ahead and sterotyped "75%" of the players who chose to become warriors. Warriors are the better hybrid. There is no census data that it available to the players so your second question cannot be answered. Your best bet is to find a class poll and draw from that sample size. They both have cool armors. My opinion? Just be a knight.

I read them through, the warrior could do both quiet nice - i forgot that.
So my question is rather: COULD a knight be more dpsish? (because they say the dmg-output of them is crappy... and that could mean the solo leveling can be boring or take much longer than a warrior...)

I stereotyped them because it's always the same...
May it be Aion, WoW, or any other MMO... Even if the people ->could<- tank, they don't because they want to dps... And all the grown ups i know, they would tank for the groups sake rather than looking for a tank the next 2 hours >.<
And if i look around (or remember the groups i played as FS-Sorcerer) the most Warriors walk around with Aura Blade on and want to do dps in groups, even if they could tank in groups (i mean in those normal 5-mans i've been you can tank with just Aura Armor on and an aoe-attack).

You can always go with the riskier path which is Concentration. People don't recommend it, but if you're willing to play with the idea of Threat bursts, learning Concentration and using it can be of great advantage to you and your party. Also, what this opens the door is to mass AoE parties. Why limit yourself to just 3 mobs when you can grab 6 and fire away with AoEs (given that you have at least another).
