How to Force Patch The Newest Client (5/15)

Oh ended my 12hours war
I am too had a errors with patch "Patch binding error", then HShield error "Error Code 0x30000030", then (after click "Start") game doesnt start. So now play in the game *_*

How i am updated game :
1 step
Install wget (download http://users.ugent.be/~bpuype/wget/ and copy wget.exe to dir windows/system32)
2 step
Open CMD (Win+R , write "cmd")
3 step
For download patch file write into cmd :
wget -r --tries=5000 64.94.115.11/Patch/Global/Client/Patch/00000018.RTP
4 step
Go to the directory with downloaded patch file (default C:\Users\you_windows_login)
and copy file 00000018.RTP to dir Pathes in the dir, when installed Ragnarok 2
Default ("C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Ragnarok Online 2\Patches")
5 step
Launch the client (RO2Client.exe)
And wait update
6 step
Play

Download and unrar files.

Hey, folks! Have some news for you yesterday evening I take my other PC and what do you know get updated my RO2 with HackShield. My problem was, Kaspersky Antivirus. Pro-Active defense of Kaspersky Internet Security said

PDM.Suspicious driver installation Ragnarok Online2 - Legend of The Second D:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\STEAM\STEAMAPPS\COMMON\RAGNAROK ONLINE 2\SHIPPING\RAG2.EXE

So basically it is my problem. That I solved by allowing any actions for that program.

Whatever it helps me, but I remember about you all. So here is Rar Archive of my RO2 Hshield folder

Go File -> Download. To download it on your PC. Un-RAR and replace folder you got in your game directory with one you un-RAR'ed

P.S. Hope this will help you. Also it may be bottleneck on google.docs that cant handle al ot of users downloading the same file

But this doesnt helped me, and i did then next steps :
3 step :
Run as administrator files
"C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Ragnarok Online 2\HShield\HSUpdate.exe""
and
"C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Ragnarok Online 2\HShield\Update\autoup.exe"
(click "Start update")
4 step :

Copy all dll files and file "steam_appid.txt" from the root game (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Ragnarok Online 2) to dir SHIPPING (C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Ragnarok Online 2\SHIPPING)



Copy to dir SHIPPING and has that



So, then run Rag2.exe if you has next error - all okay

5 step :
Run client.

P.S. It's all helped for me to correct errors. Now i can play *_*

I kept getting the 30000030 error as well. I tried reinstalling, booting only the hshield client, all sorts of stuff.

I read in a forum somewhere that this basically means there is another program preventing your hshield from running, most likely firewall or antivirus. not a server or bug or update issue, just a software is preventing hshield from running and you have to figure out what is stopping it from running.

I had to turn off my AVG internet/antivirus temporarily and then it asked to allow "Hshield.exe" and "RO2" to run, so it auto-added those programs to the exceptions list. Then I turned AVG (or whatever antivirus you have) back on (important to turn back on before you update to protect your computer) and RO2 updated like a charm.

Hope this works for some of you guys.

I did everything here, plus changed version.dat to 00000018. Restarted my computer after installing PhysX driver and now it works. Thanks finall2. This should help out a lot of you.

Wow... if any of you are still having problems with HShield just closing out before the game window even pops up, try ending the vprotect.exe process and if you're using AMD Catalyst Control Center, end CCC too. I believe that if you have any custom settings through your graphics card the HShield might be considering those forced settings to be a hack? I have no idea. All I know is that it works now after ending those two processes.

hmmm not sure about any of that but it does give me an idea. Think I'll try restarting in safemode with networking to limit the processes running then try to update it just to get through.


Edit: Nope didn't work. Guess I'm waiting for them to put out an official fix.

I'm not going to pretend I understand any of this, but I typed this into cmd and got 'wget' is not necongnized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

What does this mean an what did I do wrong? Literally copy pasted the line.

I think, you doesnt installed wget, try reinstall it or use any other download manager, but download can be reseting and file can be broken.
After download see on the size 00000018.RTP file, it will be 15 945 728 bytes.
If he more or less - file is broken and need reload it.

go to your C:\Users and search for 00000018.rtp. It should pop up. If not, do a search through the directory, but it should be there. Copy the file to C:\Program Files\Ragnarok Online 2\Patches

I have done everything in this thread and still my game refuses to load after the Hackshield update. I have been fighting with this since the patch and I am a bit angry with how they then throw another attendance event knowing full well a part of their play base cannot even log in.

I have to agree with your frustration glad I didn't give them any money yet.

Why are you dont write ticket to support?
