So I'm reading down these threads and well, it seems like I should just reroll my character.
So what I'm getting at is:
- Apparently from one of the threads, Wizards "Dragonology" or whatever will be replaced by another class.
- Wizards are subpar in PVE/PVP
- Good single target DPS
- Has a AoE but it's severely lacking
Is there any reason why I SHOULDNT reroll to a Sorcerer class?
Right now I have everything pumped into Fire, I'm only level 11, so I don't feel like paying $6 just to reset.
Wizards - Any redeeming factor?

Less Token competition (Easier to gear up)
High Demand for Dragonology.
Being Unique.
Eventual (maybe/hopefully?) buffed to be up to par with other DPS?
I don't know, if the idea of blowing everything up and setting
on fire sounds fun, go for it. I wouldn't pick your class based on what people say, as they aren't you and don't know what YOU like.

Just go what you want to go. Most of the people who dungeon crawl in this game are trash. If you play Wizard and actually DPS you will outshine most. I'm a 44 Wizard and I do consistently well in PVP and obliterate in PVE. I will say that the Wizard skill tree is lacking and uninspired, but I like fire and refuse to shoot bolts of sissy water and lay down lame ass ice. 
Also, dont spend 6$ to respect, just buy a skill reset scroll when you hit level 50. From level 1 to 50 through questing and drops, I've easily amassed roughly 1000zenny. I've also spend 300g on a skill reset scroll. If I add up the cash i've spend, its much closer to 1500-1800g.

You're level 11, re-roll if you want to change your class, or make an alt. To be honest, you should play what you like, build it the way you like and the other people can gtfo. Wizards are highly sought after in this game exactly because of those threads. People don't want to put in the effort to level them up, so they are a very rare class and they make everything so much easier in terms of dungeons and raids.
No class is "sub par" in pvp as long as you know what you are doing and you're not up against a guild that queued together. And as for the AoE, all of the AoEs in this game are very weak compared to other games, but the wizard's AoE is still reasonably powerful, at least from my perspective.
Play what you love, don't listen to other people. If you really hate leveling your character, then take a break and try something else for awhile.

if nothing else, they're ranged, so they don't tardpull as much as some of the other DPS classes which are just a pain to deal with

You get less token competition, and being unique. High demand for dragonology for now, and all depends in the future.. Soul Maker share token with many other class so there still spot for you to be in demand by that time. Most likely people will take you in just for that reason.

I was more worried about "lol look at this wizard lets just find a sorcerer for our party instead"
I guess what I'll do is continue on as a wizard (as I loved Meteor Storm'ing AlDeBaran's WoE castle entrance years ago) and if the game suits me, thats when I'll drop money on it.

5-man RHD work with any combination of 3 dps, I take wiz and dps warrior even if I have no sorc in my group
For raiding however, sorcs are pretty much required but 1 wizard is always a good addition to the raid.

I've never had issues finding parties. People like Dragonology. My AoE lets me take adds really quickly. I have some DoTs so I'm dealing damage to the boss while I'm fighting adds.

That's what people say but not the case from my experience lately. There's A LOT of Wizzies being made lately. I've been having to avoid parties because I keep encountering fellow Wizards and I don't want to compete for the gear when it's already hard enough to get. Hell one of them randomly said when I joined the party, ".... And people said Wizards are rare... More unique they said..." I just LOLed, had a small exchange with the guy and some LOLs were had. Kindly left the party after. I guess the numbers of Wizards that actually stick with the class all the way to end game remains to be seen. But if people keep saying that Wizards are rare because they are in SEA, it's too early to say they are rare in our server. I keep seeing plenty being made every day. However as the game ages (and the new class that makes Wizards obsolete gets here) I can see Wizards becoming a "rare/unique" class.

Another one for thought, since they shared token
Between Wizard, Rogue and Beastmaster, which are you gonna pick?
I feel more sorry for BM. Not all case but, in situation where you had to pick between these two which one give better benefits overall to the team. I'd go with Wiz or Rogue.

At this point they're probably the highest single target dps in the game for long term encounters and they scale with gear extremely well. Incidentally, after better gear is added into the game, their dps will increase more than other classes dps will increase.
Rangers currently have much better single target DPS if they're playing right. Assassins also have great DPS.
