I'm surprised you have/are able to pull off Fire Explosion at colo

Wiz was never a bad colosseum class, but 1v1, nahh still the underdog.

Cant see what skills your using, i have a level 50 wiz, only played colo once at level 43, didnt like it since i had no time to use spells/ the person would be out of reach and itd cancel, though i have the same build as yours and teleport is awesome for when youre stuck in a sticky situation..

Mostly fireflower (if you look at the debuffs on people I'm targeting you'll notice me add it to them), then fire bolt to finish or lightning bolt to stay mobile and finish. Those are my bread & butter skills.

I also throw in an occasional fireball when it procs and a very occasional flame explosion if that procs.


In the beginning of some rounds you may notice I teleport & use blast seal. That's to get myself out of targeting range for those nearby planning to attack me as well as get stronger fireflower DoT damage when I tag everyone with it.

Was totally denied in round 5, should've chosen targets more carefully. Then another wizard stole the show. (Three wizards in round 5, how did that even happen?) So terrible at surviving.

Not bad.

As far as survival goes there isn't much you can do other than be constantly moving and teleport whenever someone targets you.


One thing I'd like to throw in as constructive criticism is that you seem to worry too much about finishing off kills. In other words, I noticed you stop fire flowering people in the first few rounds when you saw someone at 50% or less.

Your priorities should be:

1) Fire flower the whole arena
2) fire bolt or lightning bolt someone at 2-3k or less (roughly, gotta use judgement here)
3) move on! sometimes its better to let kills go rather than stand there getting hit to try and finish a kill. (it's more useful to fireflower more people, even if they'e at full hp!)


Have faith in fire flower-- it will do most of the killing for you. Cycling it is the most important thing as a wiz, especially because you never know if another wiz is in the arena with you, and their fireflower will overwrite yours.

If you see someone at full health snare you or stun you, ignore them when/if you can get up and move on to fireflower other people. You won't be able to kill that guy, no matter how much you may want to. But your last dying fireflower might get a kill for you while your dead and make the difference between winning or not.

Brittany almost had another win but I KS'd it at the last second (we both spammed lightning bolt and I got lucky)

Thanks, focusing on Fire Flower in the early rounds is proving to more effective then I would've thought. Also fun when you die and you see ~6 people around you all taking Fire Flower damage and getting rank 1 while laying there.

Round 5 is something else though, I still can't win that, though I did get two last second losses. Just getting there is enough for me though since it's a fair bit of points. Getting the points for winning round 5 would be nice, but I already realize I'm working with handicaps by not being level 50 and not buying high-end foods/potions/etc.

Also is it just me or do people like to target Wizards at the beginning of rounds? It's not uncommon for me to have an entourage before the match starts and people persistently chasing me down through Frost Novas and Teleports.

Sorry I haven't posted lately, I've been winning but too lazy to post videos.

I added a new win I got today using a haste build, which I modified a little and won again with tonight. I'll upload the second haste win at some point later.

The new build works pretty well, and I thought some people might be interested seeing how I use the wind emblem instead of fire (and what the speed looks like).

This is a typical scenario of winning the final round as a wizard. I can say that it's one of the best feelings you can get as a wiz user which is to mock everyone while you win and they can't do anything about it.

I had a bad timing on one of those, I used it at 10 sec and on the last second I got killed by everyone's combined force lol
