I'm struggling with deciding how to spec my Sorc. Ideally I would like a Raid Hybrid Sorc, support when needed to especially keeping dps alive and on the other hand also help dps when everyone is already topped off or pre boss encounters.
My concern is how important is Frost Diver to a raid Sorc? I'm considering leaving it at 1 or 2 and move that extra point on maxing something else instead of spreading out 4/5 Deluge & 4/5 LoR or 3/5 Deluge & 5/5 LoR.
Thanks for any ideas and opinions.
Frost Diver, how necessary?

You can drop it if you want but its good for keeping bomber-type enemies from running into your team, or just free lightning damage without needing procs. I kept it at 3 because it is pretty useful, especially during colo.

I personally see no use for it in raids. Wizards have vastly superior crowd control, and as a Sorc, you should be focused on healing the DPS and DPSing yourself.

Frost Diver only good for colo. After you get all your colo gears, I suggest you to reset your skill and drop FD to 1 and leftovers points are useful to max Deluge/LoR/Earth Shield.

I see the consensus for this. Thanks a lot. Makes my decision easier hearing from others and from other Sorc.
@Trick, ya I see the nice benefit of being able to PvP better and also standard leveling is made easier when you can FD > JT > VS something and practically 2 shot it.
@rzevidz, with the upcoming skill page inclusion instead of skill reset, might be better now, having a PvP setup and a Raid/PvE
