Greetings, I started playing 3 weeks ago and I managed to get my newbie Sorcerer to lvl50. However due to game inexperience and lack of knowledge, I made some poor choices with my skills and stats which made me do some research and take a look at some build guides. As I am about to reset my skills and stats, I ended up with the following build:

http://ro2base.com/b...0.1.8/0.0.0.0.0

I focus on damage, while trying not to sacrifice key support powers.

Compared to other builds, it is notable that I kept maxed a great number of offensive spells, including Cold Bolt, Frost Diver, Jupiter Thunder, Jupiter Thunder Mastery and Varetyr Spear, while still having key support powers maxed, such as Seal of Earth, Earth Seal and Land of Recovery.

Do you think I waste some points on some offensive power that doesn't really make a difference? Or maybe my support powers are lacking in skill points? Please, if you are experienced and you enjoy playing a Sorcerer, criticize and share your opinion of my build decision. Thank you very much!

If this build is intended for raiding (which it looks like it is), I'd suggest moving four of your land of recovery points into deluge. Assuming you actually intend to be primarily a DPS sorc, you'll hopefully only need to heal in dire situations; deluge is significantly better at handling this than land of recovery. The main spec healers should be able to keep people up through most of the fight, and spamming land of recovery every 10 seconds shouldn't be necessary and is a waste of potential damage that could be happening.

The third point in jupitel thunder mastery is of little value to DPS, but another point in land of recovery (assuming you switch your land of recovery points to deluge) is about the same value. If you want a slightly stronger land of recovery, swap that point as well and your DPS will stay virtually the same. Frost diver isn't extremely useful in raids either so if you wanted to shift some points from that into land of recovery that would be reasonable as well.

Thank you for the answers, they brought some insight to my expectations and goals... To be frank, I aimed for a "little bit of everything build" for all situations including raids and PvP, but now I see that I should pick what I am interested mostly in and stick with it... I decided that I should go for raiding build and maybe focus a bit away from DPS and invest more into support. Still, I would love to be able to deal a Sorcerer's awesome burst damage, if that of course is viable within the role of a Sorcerer in raids. I will research the guides posted in the forum...

Frost Diver sees basically no use in Raids, Frost Nova from Wizards is a much better Crowd Control.

Jupitel Mastery isn't worth going past 2 points, and I personally don't even care to go past 1.

Maxed LoR and Deluge are very valuable. LoR because it's usually what keeps the ranged DPS alive, and Deluge because it's essential to keeping everyone alive through a big AoE.

I know it's nitpicking but I still take my time to think if I should sacrifice a lvl of Cold Bolt or Jupiter Mastery for max Deluge (I have it lvl4).

I also used that build and worked just fine in SEA. So yeah.
