People received zeny illegal selling items, need to wipe the server..

2:Wipe or Bye.

They might have his items back, the one that they sold to get the "fraudulent zeny"...

I saw this situation on so many games...we will know what to expect about this situation: Mass ban, zenys wipe,patch,warnings...

P.S. I think I know who did this, and why they did this. PM me gm's if you want some classified info.

Clue: It is a Malaysian Zeny syndicate. Thank you.

Hey,

Thank you Njoror, always bet on RO by your administration, cuz good games are in bunch, but a good administration and care of the game, is what i want at most.
I suggest you to pay attention to Colloseum's event, that's being abused alot by unfair players, if the same players win Collo everyday, the same vocations, there might be something wrong, and the effects are seen on the activity of players and forums complaints about Colo, just my thoughts.

Vau!

20 million?

Are you telling me botters produced 20 million selling trash loot to npcs? I remember the lot of you wanting ways to farm zeny so then botters could of really screwed up the game with upwards of zeny into the 100s of millions, hah. I'm glad this is being looked into so quickly but i think a drastic approach is in order. What you need is a zeny wipe, not a full wipe but just the money. Everyone will get to keep their items but their value would be forced down. Do look into selective cases for item wipes but i think too much illegit zeny has circulated into the system to carry on as is.

The damage is done, lots of trades with illegt/legit items/zeny, some ppl already sold stuff and re-bought from npc stuff, damage is done.

Tell me this:

Guy gets illegit 999.999Z by selling stuff at AH
Guy buys Ygg leaves on npc 5z each
Guy resell Ygg to npc for 500 Rupee each
Guy gets gets 99.999Z Legit
Guy buy stuff with legit Z
Stuff is traded for another stuff or reselled for a lot of different ppl.
Economy destroyed.
Wipe.

Yeah. But like he said, they are investigating the accounts who were not legit. If im a passerby who has a tux and they sell for 50k normally, and one day i see them sell for 900k.. that doesn't make me a criminal or non legit by matching the prices i see and now selling it for 900k. I never took part in any type of scam, or illegal trading of Zeny, so i won't be punished. Hence why they said they would look into each acount that got a spike in gold. Some people were able to sell what was otherwise junk, for a good profit. No fault of their own.. they followed the Economy.

Bro, I gonna let you finish, but you should get better reading comprehension skills before you try insulting someone since that's not at all what I was talking about. Nice try though.

It is exactly what you were talking about.. you asked about people who made a "legit" profit form it. you said "Profited "LEGITIMATELY". That was addressed in the Original post. They said they would take a look at each individual case where there was a spike in Zeny. If they were not apart of the scandle, then it was legit, is it not? You're own post man.. lol.

Hi, all.

We want to keep you informed of what happened, what we are doing, and what we plan on doing.

First, yesterday a lot of popular items and items from the Kafra Shop were bought out in large quantities very quickly by a few accounts. These accounts were sitting on enough zeny to pull this off because they were apart of several accounts currently involved in zeny selling and account buying. Our GMs began removing their accounts at the end of last week, and had removed 20 million zeny that they had been stockpiling. The accounts then used the zeny they had moved around to inflate the prices on the Auction House by buying up items and selling them. Since they were sitting on so much zeny, players who were playing legitimately participated by listing their items for hundreds of zeny, and these illegitimate accounts were buying them up.

We have taken care of the accounts responsible for hijacking the Auction House prices and raising the cost of items. Our GMs are going through players who accumulated a lot of zeny to make sure they did it appropriately and not by a method that is against the rules.

Removing the accounts that had a nearly endless amounts of zeny will stop this from occurring again. We have the studio working on methods to better track issues like this, and they came in early in Korea to help us with that.

We hope to see the prices come down in the Auction House for these items now that the endless flow of zeny has been cut off. We don't want to issue a roll back for the game because we don't want to punish unknowing players who saw an item listed high and decided to match the price with their own.

Our investigation is not over, and we are working on more methods to bring the market back and keep it maintainable, but we wanted to update you on what had occurred and that we are working to fix it.

He was asking what was going to be done to those legitimate players who made a profit. All they said was that the would identify which profits were legitimate and which were not, and the illegitimate would be banned. Nothing was said about what would be done about the legitimate players, which if left unchecked WILL ruin the economy with the ridiculous amounts of zenny they now legitimately hold. Your reading comprehension is fail.

Maybe people who already got 50 level for a weeks don`t care, but for players who still completing quests/etc. it would be a real catastrophe.

Thank you for the updated information, nothing worse than being left out in the dark.

As a retaliation measure, this was a genius move from the Gold Farmers. This has upset a lot of people, who were already uncertain about investing themselves
into this fledgling game. I guess the idea was along the lines of, if you stop us from selling our gold in your game, we will stop your game. So you did what you thought was right, took care of these accounts with massive amounts of Zeny. However they have pumped ungodly amounts into the economy, by purchasing things for inflated prices on the AH. The economy that was already broken, is now i feel reaching the point of no return. As for *appropriately* selling your goods in the AH, i fail to see any rules able to be broken in that regard. Your free to charge what you like, so i fail to see the method that is against the rules.

The margin between rich and poor was already large, after the fusion update that gap widened. After this......

I personally will no longer be playing without a rollback. There was far too much Zeny injected into the system legitimately.(Not including it's source) The many people who
have benefited from this event, will forever have the upper hand in any Zeny driven endeavour.

I had high hopes for this MMO, but there has been far too many major issues in such a short space of time to ignore them any longer.
My optimism has died.

I wish you guys all the best

Forgive me but you have to be one of the stupidest people I have had the displeasure of addressing me. You clearly have no understanding of basic English or comprehension skills in general as you don't understand what has transpired here or even what the GM's are talking about. If anyone made 900k Zenny from an illegal source buying their item with funds that were illegally obtained then they shouldn't be allowed to keep it. It doesn't matter if what they didn't wasn't illegal, the fact of the matter was they now have illegal funds that they shouldn't have. Letting them keep the money will cause even more problems with the economy as they are essentially were rewarded by hackers and can do and can even repeat, on a minor scale, what it was the RMT and Account Sellers were doing. If someone bought your good in real life with counterfeit money would you honestly expect to keep it? You are free to keep on posting but you are only making a fool out of yourself at this point.

He was asking what was going to be done to those legitimate players who made a profit. The same people whining about the rollback will be the same people whining that they can't afford anything end game

I say just take a week off the game until they sort things out. Worse comes to worst, a week's worth rollback will happen.

This is fact, before this RMT sellers made their move, players have been posting their items in a very high price already, this is a marketing strategy to get the attention of interested buyers to pm their desired offer for the said items and this is LEGIT and NO RULES are BROKEN but do you really think that it is fair to tell us people who does not practice this kind of marketing strategy, "SORRY, WE CANNOT DO A ROLLBACK, and those who gained hundreds of thousands of zennies by vending their items in auction legitimately are just lucky and will have the luxury to keep their wealth." Please don't make us regret putting our trust and confidence in your management just to save face.

What about the stuff they bought, specially the statted costumes? Are they out of the system for good now? Because in addition to the higher amount of zeny in the hands of a few, the prices for those costumes will skyrocket.

Damage already done - there's probably some innocents out there - the economy won't be the same.

And RMT filth always spawns out of that area of the world, no matter what F2P game I played in.

WOW 20.000.000 zeny? i barely made 1.000 zeny do union, normally people do all quest and khara without spending zeny on buster and ah, should get about 2-3k zeny... so wonder how about newbie and people that not sell their stuff for 800k can survive in fresh one, and AH and VENDER should get the zeny from other players... the daily reward is so suck and only once each day, so it is impossible to get that 20m zeny... and are there even 10.000 lvl 50 player play this game actually?
