Is it really just swordsmen who can ride animals?? Are the rest of us doomed to walk ever so slowly and take up to 20 min just to go from one quest to the next?
My first Char is a mage and I bought a peco thinking maybe ya'll would let all the classes ride them since the priest AGI has been cut down to 14sec long once its maxed.
I donno I try asking in regular chat but that didn't go over well.

This has been changed since RO1 where only Knights and Crusaders had mounts.
Are you level 15? The first Peco mount has a level 15 requirement.

Yes I am over lvl 15, I put the mount on my skills bar but that didn't work. Maybe Im doing something wrong??

It got bugged with the recent patch. Normally, you'd right click the reins, open the mount menu (i), and drag the peco icon to your hotkey bar. Try hotkeying the reins, use the hotkey, then go to the mount menu and hotkey the peco. No worries, everyone can get mounts here - you just can't use them in combat.

I cannot find where in cash shop to buy perma grand pecopeco reins. I doubt it is because I am a magician but wondering if there is a reason to only seeing grand pecopeco 30 day, and grand pecopeco slot machine?
