Everybody knows that the Sorc class is overpowered.

 

The have super high burst dmg so they snipe all in colo. They have def Buff, LOR and Deluge.

 

If you would need a pvp team of 3? JUST GET 3 SORCS and SPEAR everybody 1by1. You will win.

you are SO PATHETIC you are talking like if this game focus was colosseum LOL get some skills and maybe you will realize that sorcs are not as op as you think(how much time have you been playing 1 week?)

Well, I do think the initial statement is a bit of an exaggeration, but I do agree that some sort of 'change' needs to be made to them. There really shouldn't be a most 'preferred' class (ideally). And I have yet to find anyone who can validate Sorcerors being on par/balanced in comparison to the other classes.

 

Yes it's possible to win again them with 'skill.'

But there really shouldn't be much of a advantage to one player, just because they chose a certain class.

 

I do agree with Vidar though that this game is not purely Colo based. I mean winning is a good way to fast-track forward due to Colo gear being better than anything else I can find at the moment. (By a fair bit). But hopefully things will change.

 

Calling it a "FAIL GAME" though, was probably uncalled for.

I'm happy to admit RO2 has flaws, many flaws in fact. But it's not FAIL!!!.... yet xD

A knight took me down in Colosseum. I am outrageous. 

And a Priest, a Warrior.. 

Now that I think of it, NERF ALL OF THEM.

Knights has high def, Priests are here all BPs, WArrior also high def.. a -_- sorc compared to a wiz.. is a joke. You can instantly kill someone, and a wiz dont??

The reality of a MMORPG: at first, you think that your classes are oki; then some people claim one class is OP, then you nerf it/buff others, people jump to the next high tier class, you nerf it/buff others, and repeat again...

 

I have only played colo once (my main is a sorc) and died horribly without being able to kill a single person. If they nerf sorcs because of the complainers, I hope that they only change the pvp side. I'm enjoying my ability to heal and ocasionally poking a coldbolt if my party isn't dying. Maybe it's because I only have the storyline equips yet, but so far sorc feels balanced to me.

 

(on the other side, playing an aco feels supereasy mode, with so far no problem killing and healing much better. But I would wait until I have a deep understanding of the game before screaming 'OP!').

The only things I think is the slightest bit broken with them is theirs heals(now fixed) and their ice to do double damage while still allowing crits. Change the frost driver to just make thunder instant crits like how asperio does for Aco/Pri's and leave wind arms to do have to proc for double damage. That is the only rebalanced I see making sense, save the serious nerfing for the noel classes if they're going to be as op as they look. From there tweak the tanks some because they need it, well BM and monk do, and we'll be on our way to a pretty solid game.

Yeah, I'd like to see Sorcerers not doing 7k per Varetyr on me in Colosseum. At least let me Battle Leap after getting hit by Frost Diver. Thanks.

I'm sorry but whilst Sorc may have extremely huge burst. It's all luck based. 

 

They freeze someone, JT is parried, Spear misses, now what are they going to do? When I play Sorc in colo I get a kill, and then get killed myself because I get knocked down by some Sin or CC chained by some Warrior. Deluge, LoR? They do nothing without Earth Seal. It also doesn't stop people trying to kill to just kill you anyway. 

 

The truly imbalanced class in Colo is Priest. Unless you get that 200% Attack to tear them apart, trying to 1v1 them is a waste of time. They heal themselves to full one time, and people stop focusing them instantly. "The guy just used his 5 minute cooldown to save his ass, why be stupid and stop focusing him...". They just DoT everything INSTANTLY, they run around with their Ray of Genesis casting (why the hell does a Ranged class get to move during casting? Rogue gets locked in Duration for their Moonlight Dance). With VIP they have 11k+ HP, Movement Speed buff, 40% Damage Reduction. Heals over time, 

 

Also why is VIP enabled in Colo, gives such blatant benefits with the HP buff and Movement speed. It's a joke when squishy ranged classes run as fast as an Assassin (guess I need VIP for more movement speed on my Assassin..).

I can't Shadow Assault out of it so BLing wouldn't be fair. Though they need to make BL lock like SA does so warriors can use it while moving.

I think that's the time you need to pop your Defense options if you have them...

 

And then you'll realize those last only 10 seconds. Good Sorcerers know when to kite long enough for Cold Bolt and Frost Diver. It's inevitable that you're going to die if you get mobbed by other players in Colo. That doesn't mean Sorcerer isn't broken in its own right on 1 on 1 duels though.

I like how everyone bashes sorcs (A character based on CHANCE for burst damage) but not rangers (A character who does a -_- ton of Damage ALL the time.... WHILE MOVING)

Rangers are essentially a glass cannon on hotwheels. Hybrid Sorcerers can heal themselves and still deal damage. The same goes for hybrid Priests.

Priest or Sorc, they only imbalanced at certain conditions. As a Priest, I told you we are in same boat. Ray genesis can be parried as well with 20s delay and DoTs are basically a free kill for other players instead because once enemies HP starting low other classes use their burst to stealing the kill instead, Yeah RoG deals big damage but you only mostly see that for kill-stealing..

 

I rather blame the colo system instead, I mostly die by people who teaming up. Also a random disconnect in colo while there is no problem in my connection. Clearly someone spamming skills or something that make few people lagging before the round starts and eliminated by disconnected and no blood points if you dc on 1st round, very nice spam...

Because rangers have terrible defense(and no def buff), can't heal themselves or can't freeze you in one place from a distance. Really rangers are good but I rarely see anything they do as OP.

They should just buff up priests :D and make them OP as well! so the hate could be shared between Sorcs and Priests!

but in all seriousness, I like the fact that sorcs are OP as it makes the current OP PvE content that much easier to handle D:... Without OP sorcs, how will we survive the current PvE Content?!!

I'm sure I'm not the only one that's done this before, but I've gone into RHD's with a hybrid Sorcerer as the main healer without a Priest in the party and we still did fine. Even Sandstorm was a cakewalk with the Sorcerer as support. You have to take into account the situation a class is in and what build they are. Obviously a full DPS Priest is going to suck balls if they have to support. Obviously an FS Priest isn't going to be able to kill efficiently in Colosseum, unless they get super lucky.

 

I hope you guys are talking about hybrid builds and not one of the extremes. Whatever the case, the GMs are planning to buff some of the classes to make up for this. They're not going to be nerfing Sorcerers, since that was already done.

LOL? Do you know DoTs make Priests useless in colo? you CAN'T use heals in colo as a Priest while you have DoTs on you and that's stupid if you ask me. Yes, I'll say it again, as a Priest, as soon as you get hit by a DoTs skill (sadly almost all the classes have a DoT applied to their skills but Sorcs) your HEALING ABILITIES are "SILENCED" so yeah there goes the OPness of Priests in colo.

 

P.S. I have a VIP on my Priest and I'm yet to see where it says I have a 40% damage reduction oO

I play a Hybrid Sorcerer, but they are definitely NOT the most OP class in the game. Sure we can run off and heal, but with such a large cast time on deluge it really doesn't seem like that big of a deal. 

 

The fact is that there are just some classes that perform better in PvP than others.

 

Ranger for example..

You can never outheal another class bashing you in Wind Arms, so you first have to switch the Arms, costs a good 1-2sec, meanwhile you have to pop lots of healing waves and in that duration you did as a sorc like 0 dmg at all! :x

 

Oh and btw, FD is op, so is leaping on a sorc, who threw a varetyr, which is interrupted cause crap coding, duh!
