Currently lvl15 alter and I was wondering can SM be good at soloing too like other classes?(assasin, knights).

Very much so. I found it easier than Crecentia and even Ranger. Cure sure keeps the HP close to 80-100%, even when soloing 2-3 monsters. Monsters that are 3-4 lvls higer have a hard time putting a dent in your HP.

One improvement I could suggest for SM, is that all group links are switch to toggle passives. Raise the cost for casting, but make it passive so people are auto linked in range. Not sure if that makes sense.

Also possibly allow links to be used solo, as much of the game kind of leaves you to journey alone.

Finally, this may be just me, but fix the graphic bug on Noels back. They have back boobs that are pointy and move around in inverse to how norman females chests do. Kind of creepy.

(my opinion)

I dunno why people keep saying that SM heals are weak. It this a SEA stereotype?

Our SM is enjoying healing (with 1 priest) and says that the heals are OP. SM as a main aoe healer seems very good when the priest is paying more attention to the tanks.

Here's a video fo 9-manning Ramort Hard legit with priest+SM as healers http://www.youtube.c...player_embedded

If you run out of sp, you can always use blue/purple potions.

I personally have enjoyed healing on my SM..... up to the RHDs. When doing a normal dungeon, I enjoyed main healing on it. I always noticed how much harder it was to do as an SM but it was possible and it was fun. Fast forward to RHDs where I just could main heal for the life of me without support or the whole team dying and suddenly my opinion of the SMs healing has vastly changed. With Support, the SM can heal just fine but trying to heal alone is more of a chore than it needs to be.

The problem is that Noels aren't as noticeable because there are so many ways of bugging bosses, or just straight up embusing so they do no dmg nor enrage

In a real legit raid that's a bit harder (e.g. CoA/AoD) with HP/Def requirements, Noels buffs make an insane difference on what your party can or can't do. imo noels contribute much more to a party than the original classes (but shouldn't get more than 1 SM & Cres per party), they just got some bugs that need to get fixed (the set bonuses from raid gear and I heard of a couple of skill/stat bugs too)

I would also be rerolling to Crecentia as the melee DPS role, except it's just gay cause you'll barely notice your contribution to your party/raid as long as we can embus every boss lol

Well, if u have 50%++ crit on sm i totally agree that sm heal will be op (due to 5% hp heal from each crit by revive effect, imagine 2 crits min. on each restoration= 10% instant hp heal not including the figure). But if ur crit is low, really sm heal is more terrible compared to priest/sorc, and not reliable in emergency (restore = too long cast, ppl can die immediately before it heals, restoration = healing amount too low to ensure not die for next hits, not to mention sm doesnt have strong aoe heal to survive from aoe).
Opinions should be judged from noob and pro sides, not only from pro side. Just my 2 cents.

Well, here's my opinion about SMs so far.

- They can actually AoE efficiently. This alone made me love the class.

- I agree with Immunity's colorful, flashy explosion being laggy. It doesn't affect me much, if at all, but I can imagine what other people's screens would look like...

- Sacrifice is pretty awesome. The HP cost isn't much either. I can easily heal it back with even a Lv 1 Cure.

- Awake: Soulmate's cooldown is indeed too large. I rarely find myself using this unless it's a boss I'm up against. Even then, I don't use it much.

- The healing skills...ugh, I hate them in almost every way. All of them waste your SP way too fast if they're level 3 or higher. Restore's cast time doesn't help with this, either. Restoration's heal amount is really small that I don't even notice it. Cure is actually alright though. It may not be like Renovatio or even LoR, but it's still decent enough for an HoT.

- And the soul links...yeah, it's like everyone enjoys running away from them or something. It pisses me off so much that I don't even bother to link until bosses.

- I also feel like the class relies a little too much on crits, but that's just me.

I've yet to try out Crescentia. When I was leveling as an Alter though, it was pretty fun putting all those debuffs on one enemy.

There is 1 way to max the utilise awake (in raid only). Link up concentration, get 5% bonus, then pop up ur guardian before activate awake. U ll find out u can use another awake not so long after the early awake expired.
For more fun, i suggest u to rotate this 3 skills during awake+guardian state: soul extinction, immunity, sacrifice (use it when its not in cd). See how wonderful the dps of sm in that mode :) .

Tried that, indeed its such a good dps i can keep up with a wiz/sin or rogue but our class its too much based on critical hits and our agi on eq its really lame, same as priest's and even the int its less than the priest/ sorc.

I'm using +8 agi runes on my whole AoD set, 3slot costume too but i cant pass 35% crit rate unbuffed, thats sucky, i wish we could have atleast BM's agi from eq if the sorc one its not possible :/.

Also lets dont talk about the ridiculously fail animations which are extremly high and most of them stucks you in place.

It's been a few weeks sense the Noel race was released so I'm sure a lot of people have enough experience with them. I personally have recently gotten my Soulmaker up to level 50. My opinion of the Soulmaker has changed a lot sense I first changed into it. As such I feel a lot of people have formed an good enough opinion of these new classes as well and I'd like to hear them. Not just the Soulmaker either. I'd like to hear people's opinion on the Crecentia as well. What do you guys think of the Noel classes?

P.S: I have a lot of things to say about the Soulmaker but if I did post about it, this whole thing would turn into one big rant. Long story short, the Soulmaker class is underwhelming imo.

I have a Cres at 32 and it has surprised me how well a Cres can DPS. VS equal level ppl I was out

threating them by 10k on sea god. IT is kinda dangerous sometimes, when I see moonlight facing

me, when there is a lvl 50 sm, and a lvl 35 knight in the party. I have Lapperman so I can

levicorpus -> lapperman if I get into trouble tho.

I also find funny how dangerously high the DPS can be from a Crescentia.

They sure are slow starters, considering their low crit rate, but once you start mixing both Stigma strikes along with DoT builds it really boosts up the damange dealt and the threat races high and fast.

I like it, it hits beautifully.
