Hey, can anybody explain me what (tank) Knights are supposted to do in WoE ?

Managed to find only one WoE video at youtube and it doesn't really help me. I see only catapults..

Don't tell me about pets, thanks.

It's a touchy subject to be honest. Most tanks who participate in WoE adhere to a strict strategy that is predetermined by their guild, so getting a straight answer on this subject might prove difficult.

In terms of basics, I think I can help you out.

  • Make sure your team is buffed at all times
  • Always be at the frontlines; your team depends on you to take the brunt of the damage in pretty much any situation.
  • Handle aggro; Primarily this is regarding Guardians, so you are correct in that aspect.
  • Crowd Control; This goes hand-in-hand with what I said about absorbing damage. The idea is to make yourself the greatest threat, hopefully making yourself the primary target in a large battle scenario.
  • Play the hero; You will die at some point, there's no getting around it as a tank. It's better to go down protecting your key game-changing classes than to go down trying to save your own neck, which 9 times out of 10 will result in the deaths of teammates you could have saved.
  • Situational awareness; Be mindful of your surroundings. There is always more than one option, and hasty choices could hurt your entire team.

There are many more things to consider, but keep these basics in mind and it shouldn't be too difficult to work out the rest on your own.
