Are there any plans at all to get the pets that don't talk the chance to do so? I'm sure my Stone Shooter has the most amazing perv stories to tell me but he's muted~ :<.

What is harassment though is spamming these threads with stupid bull-_-. Every post you make you talk down to, insult people and are spreading misinformation. What's worse is that when someone tells you you're asking an irrelevant question/spreading misinformation you immediately cry harassment. I would take a stab in the dark here and guess that you spam report anybody who addresses you on a public forum, tells you that are wrong or advises you to shut up. I still have the PM that you kept spamming me with when I deliberately ignored you. You don't even know the definition of harassment!

 

Well, Oda asked the whole community to pretty much be nice and stop picking on you. It'd be a lot easier if you weren't spewing verbal diarrhea over the forums with such misinformation/aggressiveness toward everyone else.

 

At least when I'm a jerk to someone, it's reactive. This is the nicest way I can think of to tell you to stop drawing attention to yourself, but if you can't handle the public critique of your posts, then don't post them on a public forum.

 

 

I find it hard to believe that Oda would post a thread for questions to be answered on stream, with the intention that the people who post intend to not participate. That seems sort of strange and awkward. You can watch past broadcasts and get your answers, rather than complain that they were never answered! Here's something to consider, maybe, just maybe there hasn't been time to write out all the answers too. I'd be happier knowing the staff were working on improving the game than posting answers to questions they answered three times all ready just because someone had a tantrum on the forums.

Christmas Snow Rabbit, Goblin Leader, Green Maiden, Succubus, Incubus, Loli Ruri, Marionette, Wanderer, Whisper, and White Lady are the ones I've personally tested at max Loyal. None of those have talk scripts. That's quite the handful of pets. It's mostly the newer ones that don't have talk scripts implemented. Green Maiden is the oldest of them to not have it, but others after it do have the talk scripts implemented.

Green Maiden is the worst case, because it's been...well...it's been like that since Pre-Renewal and there've been people in the community asking for a fix for it. The talk script is there for it, but it simply isn't implemented. New Year Doll does share the same talk script as it though, I guess.

That might be your problem: you feel inferior when someone corrects your "facts", and so you scream harassment, flaming, trolling. Perhaps consider that most people here care for true facts. Whenever someone mentions the Earth is flat, expect someone else to argue against that.

Let me get this straight, GuardianTK asks for some validation on the information you are giving and you assume that it's so he can "flame" the person that said that? wow.

Ya know there's a good reason Wikipedia asks for editors to cite their sources. People here should adhere to that too, because as I have said before particularly on RO it is important to give correct information in a public setting because incorrect information can actually damage the game experience of countless new players who read it.

You're also putting ahead of TK's experience what someone "told" you. Have you ever thought that that person who "told" you may be wrong or highly misinformed?

You argue about other people correcting your mistakes on the forum, but then are pretty eager to jump in and do the same to another user!

It does make a difference, because your misinformation is a result of another's misinformation. It's fine to want to correct them if they're wrong, no? I wouldn't want others to be misinformed and then being extremely demoralized once they find out the truth much later. Pet talk scripts is a minor thing, but this can be fatal if it's misinformation regarding other things. Some pets do cost a ton. There are players who'd want to have pets for the entertainment option. Say someone spends more than 100m zeny in getting a certain pet. It does not talk. It bugs out. They feel infuriated(Which may not be directed solely at the one that initially misinformed them.) that the pet does not talk, even though someone somewhere informed them that "all pets talk." It is about conflicts and losses as a result of misinformation being handed down.

I don't recall ever wanting to flame the other party for misinformation, but you worded it as if it was a given that I would flame them. This is the problem. I have no intentions of flaming you or the person that misinformed you, but then you insist that I will or hint at it with the way you word your sentences. I simply want to tell the person that a large batch of pets do not talk.

I don't know how calling you delusional is considered flaming, because it was never my intent to flame you with that sentence. It simply seems(Meaning it looks like from an outsider's perspective.) like you're delusional to the point you think everyone, including me, is out there to get you if there are those among us who simply want to correct misinformation. I bring the conversation back to my previous point that correcting misinformation is extremely important and I don't see how you brought flaming into this. You were the first to say "Why do you want to flame them?" Not me. This is where the problem started. If you wanted a simple answer from me, you shouldn't have included that sentence in the first place. All in all, you should care more about the clarity of information you're providing to your peers. It's important and may cost the game players. I know it has before. The most you should say if you're unsure about information yourself is to simply tell them to test things out for themselves by saying "I'm not sure. You might want to test it out yourself or ask someone who has experience with this." That's what I tell others if there's information I haven't confirmed with my own eyes and data. The irowiki is just that, a wiki. It has to be updated, but that doesn't stop you from confirming its information, right? It is a boon for players who don't know this and that, but it can also be a frustration if information on the wiki isn't correct.

And in the past, I have admitted to being wrong when corrected on wrong information. If all I'm doing is criticizing, then why am I admitting that I'm wrong when I am wrong? I hope that clarifies things for you on my position about this, because I don't consider myself superior in any way. If I did, I wouldn't be reasoning with you at all.

LOL... It must have been hard to repeat what I just said along with twisting my words around. You're so good about talking about things that are totally irrelevant. You really should take a closer look at what is posted before you post. You continually change words around to suit you. He never asked for validation on the information I gave. He just said I was incorrect which was fine. Now you too want to talk about something totally irrelevant. Wikipedia has nothing to do with this. You didn't see GuardianTK site any sources, for his information, did you? Nor did I question him about what he said. I only asked what pets, didn't talk, so I would know.

Some people just catch them to loyal them/make them talk. not everyone goes for stat and it is important for user to speak fact if you're giving a heads up. That very person might not come back to forum after seeing your post and buy Green Maiden Pet and be so sad when they find out it doesn't talk at all.

That's right,i think the pet system is very much alike the "Cute hat system" where it doesn't matter much the function of the item but the fact that it's cute and you have some fun with it or even collecting them. At least that's my hobby in RO,after reaching max lvl many go to woe and spend money on OP gears,i like spending it in pet tames,going out to tame them and enjoy hunting or just chilling along with them so when i see they don't talk after working so much at making them loyal precisely for that it feels like an incomplete experience, hence why i asked about that.

I personally would feel bad if I were wrong about something or having people bash on me, but I would know if I'm wrong and admit to it after evidence is presented to refute my arguments. I care if I'm wrong or not. If I'm wrong about something, I can't refute with nonsense. I know exactly how it feels and you shouldn't assume that I don't. Unless I'm directly calling you delusional and not stating what others think, then that's nowhere near flaming. I was basically highlighting what others basically see you as being from your posts, but it isn't my own sentiment on the matter. I simply think you are misinformed on some matters. You can ask Oda or Campitor for clarification on that one.

Those that say "I heard someone that heard..." are a lot less reliable for information accuracy compared to those that say "I've got one and it's..."

Misinformation hurts players who don't know better. Actually, Green Maiden doesn't even have Performance animations. It's been broken since Pre-Renewal. I'm one of those players that plays the game for the cute headgears and pets. The talk scripts are pretty interesting sometimes too. Ever seen an Alice pet talk? I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that doesn't share the sentiment that it's not just always about their function, but about the cosmetics. <3

On that note, when are you guys going to finally fix Green Maiden after all of these years, Oda?

I wasn't giving anyone the heads up. TK was the one who posted which pets didn't talk. I only have a couple so I wouldn't know which do & which don't.

It looks like you need to re-read what you posted since you don't even know or remember what you said. So if you meant what you said about admitting when you are wrong now would be a good time to do it. You can't state, what others think, unless you are physic, can read minds, which I seriously doubt you can.
