Have you noticed how expensive some of the items sold by vendors? 99 millions zeny is almost norm for relatively good quality items. Some really good ones (god items, MVP drops, etc) can sell for hundreds of millions. Imagine you can collect 200,000 worth of items per day; you get only 73 millions in one year, and 730 millions in ten years! /omg

If the developers don't help us to reduce the price of expensive items, sooner or later players will find it dull to play as most of them are at losing end without being equipped properly. Only those players with billions of zeny can afford decent equipment and cards. And mind you, good equipment accounts for more than 60% of total game (be it WOE, PVP, MVP, PVM, etc) experience & battle effects.

200k per day? Thats what..farming jellopies? lol

i agree the market is kinda expensive for newer players but not much the developers can do about that cuz its the economy. Its better to just learn and make zeny with hard work. 200k per day is a bit too questionable lol

Hmmm... Not a very well informed first post!

It may be too early for you to worry about gear that is in the billions. When you are at a higher level, there are myriad ways that you can make tens or even hundreds of mils a day. The higher values depending very much on luck, of course. If you are active around max level, hundreds of millions of zeny just seem to come and go by the whimsy of lady luck. It's not such a big problem in the end.

What is your level and class? Some classes have great ways for making zeny that aren't much exploited.

If you need some specific pointers for making zeny, come find me in centre-southeast Aldebaran! My character looks exactly like my avatar.

I was thinking about this last night while doing Fallen Bishop in his normal spawn map.....

While the quest was like 3 hours combine, it took me and a few friends a bunch of planning to actually get us all finished and camped there. This is only after you have enough awesome gears to get 4 different class 150/50's all together to hunt this one MVP. For a card with a 0.02% drop from an MVP with over 5 million HP and extremely strong attacks. His card price, 60b. Yes, it is really that much. Why?

Because a player who is farming 200k in items, will never ever have a chance at obtaining this. If you continue to farm low level areas, for low zeny, you earn exactly that. Low income.

If you happen to do that for a few months, gradually finding new more exciting and challenging ways to make money - you will see, it takes a ton of effort. Effort that translates into value, the more effort and difficulty and rarity, the higher the value.

I would consider finding a top-tier MVP card as hard as it is to farm 50b zeny in nogg. Yes, farming 50b zeny in nogg is nearly impossible for a normal human - but all it takes is a lv 120 character and infinite time and no desire to grow, just smash away at what you know, with little effort, forever.

Watch some of my videos, you will see you literally have to throw millions of zeny in supplies at some MVPs to even get a chance at their drops. Not to mention competition on camped MVPs

Not something that needs a "fix." It's like in real life, do you get a high paying job with no effort? No, you gotta 'work' for better pay and benefits or settle for crap.

PS - I would like more zeny sinks if anything though. Investment is a great one, nao moar plox.

Assuming you earn 10m a day (definitely with bots?), how long do you need to buy that fallen bishop card? I made a rough calculation: more than 16 years.. LOL

Please note the difference: in real life, people have no choice but to live with it. RO is a game. If all botting vendors make players so hard to buy decent equipment / cards, they will quit. Eventually who lose?

and where to get that greeding skill if you are not merchant? a card? how much is that card? so before greeding there, where to look for the money to buy that card? LOL..

besides, what items you pick to get that 100m? even if you can sell one at 1k, you still need to pick up 100,000 items to get 100m.. LOL i.e. average you need to pick up more than thirteen 1k items per second to reach that.. /e10

Hi,

I believe the author have a point, even thought it is possible to archive 1m+ zenys with relative ease at high level, the price on some (not even the majority) items are too ridiculous to be obtain in a decent time without somehow cheating.

I believe that if desired the system could be enhanced to bring more balance in the price/value/cost.

Good luck to all.

Apprently there are only a few options to resolve this:

First, ban all the bots. Unfortunately it's easier said than done as we can still see rampant bots in every major field. This will cease the unfair advantage for botters.

Second, if first option is not feasible, then bots should be encouraged, promoted and taught. This can be done in Eden group with NPC set up to run the bots. And of course the bots will be run on players' own PCs or servers. This will also cease the unfair advantage for botters.

Third, if both first and second options are undoable, well then make all items minimum drop rate to 0.1%. This will also cease unfair advantage of botters as items are easier to get now and price will drop as a result.

I advocate price dropping for all ultra-expensive items as I believe the only fun playing this game is WOE, PVP, MVPs and occasionally PvMs. There's no fun at all to spend hours per day, seven days a week for income, cards or rare items, the job is best left to bots. Without control of the price, the game is under absolute manipulation of a few elite botters who can get billions of zeny in short time.

Don't compare this to real world economy. You can't quit in real world but you can for RO. If majority of players find the game is to their disadvantage, they will quit and the game will die just like in other parts of the world.

You could make 300k an hour even if you take a level 20 thief with a knife[3] to spores, man.

Yea stuff costs billions, botting has caused inflation but there isnt much that can be done about it.

You can make billions without paying a single dollar or botting if you know how to play the market properly. You folks look new here so you probably dont know the ropes of the market yet. This is what I usually do for quick pocket change. I scout shops using ragial for good deals. (These can generally be found in pages 1-5) I buy things cheap and sell high. I managed to convert 30M zeny( I found 2 Marc cards to make that zeny) that I made in my first month of playing into 1.5 Billion zeny purely by buying and selling. I play casually for a 1-2 hours a day at best. MVP cards are reserved for people who are too much into the game. If you are a casual player like me you dont need MVP cards to play.

And Botting should never be allowed. This isnt mRO. Botters always risk getting banned and losing their months or years of ill-gained wealth anyway. Allowing botting would make this no better than a high rate P server which would drive away paying customers and eventually lead the server to close.

No to botting. >:|

Wonder how I got my first mil? I farmed fabric in Glast Heim.

Wonder how I got my first 10 mil? I sold reset stones.

Wonder how I got my first 100 mil? I sold even more reset stones.

If I could do it by leveling as a FS, I see no reason you couldn't do it. It's a pretty good strategy tbh, level a priest to 99, do low TI every day (and believe me, people will throw themselves at you in low TI), get reset stones, get rich. Easy and everyone can do it.

*clap* *clap*

this is what i'm currently doing. I don't have that much time to grind and farm items, so I usually go to TI and eden quests then log off. This is not the easiest way to earn zeny, but its reliable.

All vendor items now sold at botters' price, that's why it's so expensive. And that's why I recommend RO to increase drop rate to a minimum of 0.1%, and not the original 0.01%. This will make hand farming much easier and drive away bots if less and less players buy from them. This will also creates more equal playing field as the few elite botters no longer monopolize WOE, PVP or MVPs because others will be well euipped too.

Right now the game battle/duel experience is 60% equipment/cards, 30% playing skill and only 10% character stats/skills. With more equal playing field, I believe it will be 60% playing skill and 30% equipment/cards. Then only it's fun, otherwise players will quit because they will never afford ultra expensive items for the rest of their RO lives.

As I said, the only fun in this game is WOE, PVP and MVPs, perhaps some other events every now and then. Long hours farming is definitely no fun at all. Please compare this RO shortcoming with other popular MMORPG like warcraft, RO2, etc.

And you got this data from? Link the source please. I for one, like farming/grinding and I don't WOE. Don't state your opinions as facts, thank you. :3

The game is fun if you want it to be. However, please dont expect it to be like your previous server or game. Whenever you move to a new RO server - you are bound to feel a little uncomfortable at the start. Casual players can never afford MVP cards even if you remove bots or do all sorts of things. MVP cards are like treasures. Not everyone is supposed to obtain them like regular cards.

Also refrain from finger pointing. Calling someone a botter because he made 10M in a day makes you sound silly. >_>

Just do a rollback for all the money. Reduce 100m to 1m or something, and prices would go cheaper! All of these high prices is because of inflation, since there's too much Zeny in the population it drives the prices to be high. But then again, people will complain when their 1 billion Z gets converted to 10 mil /heh

Greed is a blacksmith skill, and a blacksmith can learn it at a very minimal cost.

Ignoring how very bragging and upity that sounds, how about instead of just indirectly telling people that they suck at making zeny in this game, you give them tips on how to actually do it? We would be very grateful to hear that.
