Hey I just turned 50 and am looking to make a cart. Could I make the cart myself by just buying the parts or do I need a dealer to do the job?

Get/buy the parts then in the PAT tab of your inventory, equip them.
Put the body first, then the Engine, then the Wheels, then any accessories and/or weapons.
Personally, i sometimes have difficulty putting the engine and wheels on, so (using click-and-drag instead of 2X click) i hover it over the slot a while before dropping it into that slot.

Artisans with the PAT Craft skill are needed to make some parts, but you can equip them yourself.
NPC Mildun sells the basic wooden cart parts. Anything more advanced are either from Artisans or from the Item Mall.
Make sure that any other parts you want have a lower "version number" than that of the Cart Body you have equipped.

Cart Schematics are used by PAT-Artisans to craft the parts.
