Before the 22/12 Maintenance my Attack Power was about 1.2k, after maintenance my attack power went up to 2k+ again, however before maintenance i was doing 4k damage with 1.2k Attack Power, and yet I'm still doing 4k damage with 2k attack power. ok, right...on morroc mobs, on porings i do 7.3 and 9k T1.
Then I went and made one of the new swords, although the base attack power is lower (439-496) than the Tier 1 Colosseum (591 - 667) with the bonus STR my attack power was slightly higher. but yet again, my damage dropped to 3k even though my attack power went up.
Reading up on a few things, I see they using a new damage calculation using "Physical skill effect", if you hover over the Attack power you will notice a very lower attack power e.g.150, but even then my "Physical skill effect" is higher with the new weapon, 152>164.
I can only roughly say that "Physical Skill Effect = *STR/5 (INT/5).
then i came to a conclusion that they use "Physical skill effect" 150+. and the weapon damage.
[152+(591~667)]*1140% = 6.8k ~ 7.5k
[164+(439~496)]*1140% = 8.4k ~ 9.3k
so having a higher attack weapon is the best option in the new mechanic, as all the stats gets wasted >.>
Furthermore i quickly jumped onto my 47 sorcerer and did a rough calculation
284 INT
52 Physical Skill Effect
44~50 min~max (NOT MAGIC)
magic power 300
Lightning Bolt 218%
[52+(44~50)]*218% = 209~222
(216,220,217,238) edit: damages done to porings.
yup, my magic power gets completely ignored in the calculation process, all magic users is suffering cause of this.
