The recipe of the week: 
 
Mr. Bali Hai
 
Named after the Bali Hai Restaurant in San Diego, Mr Bali Hai was the mascot of the restaurant, a droopy eyed headhunter with a boned nose. Bali Ha'i the restaurant is named after the fictional "Island of the Women" from the musical South Pacific. That musical (and the original book) were a huge inspiration on the nascent Tiki culture in the 50s and 60s and there are plenty of restaurants, bowling alleys and apartments here in Southern California who have borne that name. 
 

 
The drink itself is interesting, using coffee liqueur to give it a unique flavor. 
 
So here is the recipe, rediscovered by Jeff "Beachbum" Berry: 
 
1 1/2 unsweetened pineapple juice
1 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
1/2 oz sugar syrup
3/4 oz coffee-flavored brandy (like Kahlua)
1 oz light rum (White Virgin Islands rum is recommended over Bacardi and other cheapo Puerto Rican spirits)
1 1/2 oz Myers dark jamaican rum
 

 
A question for Classic users, besides the enchant gems, and extra skill bars what kind of User Interface enhancements from Renewal would you want the most on pre-Renewal?

Did iRO stop getting updates from kRO?

Any news about the updates? e.g. GH instances, level 160, level 175, WoE TE etc, etc.

For reals, there are updates on the "What to Look Forward to" thread that are WAY past the required 6 months for our server. What's kRO's deal, are we now supposed to be a year behind them? If so, then we should at least get these ASAP:

[_] The port town of Alberta has been expanded to allow for more ships! (August 16th, 2011)
[_] The following middle headgear items can now be hidden slot enchanted for bonus stats: Glasses, Sunglasses, Blush, Twin Ribbon, Dark Blinder, Elven Ears, Angel Wing Ears, Devil Wing Ears. (August 24th, 2011)
[_] Creating a Brynhild or Asprika god item will now lower the fort's econ rating by 30 (August 24th, 2011)
[_] Buffed Immune Shield (September 28th, 2011)
[_] The cash headgear item 'Eddga Doll' is now on sale (November 2nd, 2011)
[_] Added 30 new cards. (December 21st, 2011)
[_] Added the battleground queue system. You can apply for the battlegrounds from anywhere, you'll be given a confirmation when the battleground actually starts. If you cancel, there will be a minute delay before you can re-apply. Afterwards you'll be returned to where you entered from. If the place isn't a Town, Field, or Regular dungeon, you'll be returned to your save point instead. (December 27th, 2011)

2 years is more than enough overdue.

 

We are receiving the BG queue system now, so hopefully these will be appearing soon. We will be asking about these if they do not arrive with the planned updates we will be getting. 

why not the GM Team make goods TI in Goods Fields? Really, in gramps says "Abbys Lake 3" for the "High TI", and the field is New world...  

Also is very boring the leveling in fields as this, i not spend my money in a boring game where the leveling is so slow!! I prefer spend my money in anothers stuff but not in RO.

Is it possible to make a permanent weekend raffler event for certain hard-to-get supply items? example being geneticist cooking/bomb making materials, rune crafting items, and any other supply material that is currently botted? zeny would go to the raffler instead of the botters.

 

We can consider them for future updates, but theres a lot of though that should go into this. if users would like to put together a detailed proposal we'll definitely take a look at it. 

That banner.. should be named Oda's Transformers Tuesday. And a visit to Juperos!

Would you guys conside unblocking hocus pocus from all mvp maps? Or at least West Comodo so I can try to hocus pocus Medusa...?

 

Also a safe way to buy/sell WPE via in game tokens or something pris.

 

We will look into a way perhaps of blocking the (transformation) hocus pocus spell while leaving the rest open for use. 

We've had a bug with the Thief Card Set for a while now, since somewhere in 2012, whereupon completing the card set doesn't stop your character from auto-snatching while autoattacking. The set in question is The Paper, Shinobi, Wild Rose, Zho Po Long and Wanderer.

The card set descript. very clearly states that snatch should be disabled once you've completed the set, and the rest of the set bonuses are applied successfully. I've tried equipping the set in every order possible, but snatch always inevitably procs.

I was wondering if you guys could fix this. I've sent in a few tickets myself, and I know other people who have. Our responses were that the bug was being looked into.   

And some of those were from *almost* 2 years ago.

 

We have fixed this in the past, but oftentimes kRO updates we receive can overturn these fixes. We can definitely work on this.

Does it even include the taming skill anymore? Tried many times (probably 5k+ yellow gems with missy by now) and was never able to got the taming skill nor MvP spawn.

I dunno, but I know MVP should still work so I don't see why not.

 

Can the GMs confirm the skill Hocus Pocus whether or not Beastly Hypnosis is still available from it? Thanks P:

The lock button on the friend/party window so we can spam skills without popping up a chat window ^^; There's a player made fix around for that but obviously an official fix would be much preferable.

 

Navigation wouldn't be horrible, keybinding is cool. Kafra storage search perhaps?

 

I like the extra tabs and sorting in the chat bar but.... I don't like the PM windows on renewal eww

I can tell you that I would like to not have the renewal basic info window. It just... doesn't fit with the size/shape of the other windows and I hate it.

 

No opinion on anything else though.

What is the issue with Sakray at this time?

 

There is no portals leaving the Intro ship. Or well maybe there is a portal on iz_int but its alternate versions do not have any (example being iz_int02 in the screenshot above)

 

Also Sakray Prontera is missing the level up NPCs and 100k (1m? idk) exp giving lunatics (or maybe the lunatics are there just hiding out in one of the dead corners of the city). As well as all the equipment and card dealer NPCs.

The thread is to post questions that are answered on the tuesday livestream. It wouldn't do much for the livestream to have the answers already given. 

 

Also, in several of our prior livestreams I have mentioned where we are at as far as updates from kRO are at. We are receiving Glastheim soon, and updates to the Battlegrounds system sooner than that.

The reason this thread was created in the first place was for questions to be asked here, instead of the maintenance thread, & so you could answer them all at one time. Not everyone is able to listen to the livestreams, & the questions being answered, provide information for the community not just the person asking the question.

 

So it is very helpful to have the answers posted here.

 

If you can't answer the questions I have here I will go back to posting them, on the maintenance thread, until they are answered.

 

1. Can something be done to increase the friends list?

2. You probably have heard by now that the Amulets starting getting abused over the weekend. Are you going to be able to disable their use, in Eden, & S. Pront at least? I only say S. Pront because of newbies & afk's.

 

Anywhere deadbranches are disabled they have been blocked as well. 

 

3. What's the status, of getting the complete and/or, correct script, to fix the 100+ Eden TI's? Also how did kRO not send the correct script in the first place since they have been using these?

Are just the 100-110 TI's are bugged or are all of them this way? I haven't taken a change with the others.

 

This is the way it was designed on kRO, but we are looking at making it more forgiving here. 

 

4. Last thing for now. Is it possible to fix the /ex all command, so it continues to work, even if you access storage? It's bad enough that it has to be done every time you warp but it doesn't make sense why accessing storage disables it.

 

It may not save this if you aren't running as admin or if you have more than one client open. We can work on this. 

 

5. One more thing I have been meaning to ask. Is it possible to please move the Cat Hand Agent, in Eden, someplace else? I don't know about anyone else but I know I constantly click on it, trying to go up the stairs, due to it being so crowded in that area.
