i don't even pay attention to my load screen, since my load screen will be like less then 0.5 sec. For those who pay attention, it's prob someone wanting/waiting to see their work being show AND those computer are slow or internet connection are slow.
the load screen isn't long (even i run a computer that is as old as RO) so just put those words as big as you can to fit the screen rather than draw some picture to let it looks cute/horror, because humans are attract to picture first then to words.
I'd suggest you put those picture and words as the background picture on the LOG IN screen, AND the char select screen, that'd be better than the loading screen.

Heres my work... dunno why it came out so washed out
edited for size and clarity
I like your artwork too, so until you get a scanner here's a few tips on getting a better shot with your camera:
• Set your camera to macro mode
• Use a low ISO setting (100 or less)
• Be sure your camera is set to the highest file settings (max resolution, finest quality your camera supports- RAW would be ideal but probably not necessary for this)
• Shoot under a bright, even light (Sunlight can work well)
• If you have trouble with shadows from overhead light, try shooting it vertically, perhaps on an easel.
With enough practice, and if your camera is good, you can easily beat a low-end scanner's quality. Getting a scanner would be much easier though.

im using a cheap digital camera i got like 5 years ago as a birthday present... it doesnt have any fancy settings... just point and shoot.., I DO now have a scanner but its not hooked up yet...but if scanning uploading and resubmitting is the only way to9 get the paperbag hat i guess ill spend my night figuring out how this new contraption works...
EDIT: Scanned and resubmitted...

Even pretty cheap ones will have those settings generally. Well, except for RAW. It's just a matter of digging through a few menus. Check the camera's manual if you have to scan something in the future that doesn't fit in a scanner.
Awesome, looks great!
I guess while I'm at it I can give a few tips on good scans.
• Scan at a higher DPI setting than you need for the end product (I generally scan at 600dpi or more). It lets you more easily correct any imperfections like dust or blotches, and scaling down afterwards will help mask your corrections.
• Scan in a lossless format like TIFF or BMP. Most scanner software I've worked with doesn't support straight to PNG which is preferred for these submissions, but you can convert it to that at the end. This will eliminate the JPEG artifacts and give a cleaner looking picture.
• Play with the levels to get your whites white and blacks black. Be careful not to over-do it and lose too much detail though.
I can't think of anything else at the moment without getting into Photoshop filters and such. I'm sure some others on this forum have good tips too though.
