This build is for a Charm mage that will make heavy use of Windwalker for survival and can kill raiders.

You will want relatively high dex so that Windwalker has some dodge to enhance. Depending on what gems you will use and what accessory set/mix, you can lower Dex and put in more Sen/Cha/Int/Str.

Mana shield is a must for survival, especially for a runner type. Mental Focus gives 20% additional dmg on top of cleric's valkryie charm (15%) for a total of 35% additional dmg.

Unique skills: Technique of Magi (5% skill power, 3m skill range) [5sp], (Optional) PvP Thunderstorm (70% stun rate) [2sp],

Notice that skill range passive in Offensive tab is only lvl2 and Skill Power passive in Mage tab is only lvl4. Technique of Magi makes up for not maxing these two passives. You will have 30m skill range.

Cold Snap is only lvl1and meteorite flow because I run out of skill points. If you don't want PvP Thunderstorm, just put the 2sp into cold snap or the skill power passive.

This build takes Accu passives because it needs to kill the millions of raiders that like to stealth and ambush and kill you in a few seconds. As charm mage, you can accu down the raiders (one at a time if there are many..) for slightly longer survival time, thus letting you skill more times and kill them before they kill you. Raiders don't usually have great accu, and Windwalker will give pretty decent dodge to survive those 2 or 3 extra hits for that one AOE.

If you don't want Accu passives so that you have 30sp more to put into the Fire tree (like the old build in Spoiler tab below), you will have to rely on lava set and dodge debuff aoes. It will still work but may be harder to survive raider ambush.

Equipment: Precious Orlean (D7/Top7/Leo/J7/Tan7), Orlean Backshield (25/50, 60/40), Style Sunglasses (25/50), Hiria's Tear (D7/T7/Leo), Magical Set (Top7/Leo/J7), Hebarn Set (Top7/Leo/D7), Shattered Hope (D7/Top7/Leo/J7/Tan7), Luminous or Chiva Orlean (D7/Top7/Leo/J7/Tan7)

If you want to lower Dex slightly, then you will use a mix of Topaz7 and Jade7 instead of a bunch of Leo (Int/Dex) stones. D7 is always an option if you want more AP than a Top7 since Top7 won't do much for debuffs. Tan7 is also always an option if you want to rely more on high crits instead of decently high normal dmg.

If you want a little more AP without losing too much MSPD, you can go Half Preci and Half Lumi. And of course if enemy team has no raiders or anyone scary that you need to run away from, just go with Chiva to do lots of damage. Since lots of champs and almost all other classes are putting on Preci and speed sets, it will be unlikely that Chiva is a safe option unless you have fellow mages to back you up.

Standard acc set is usually something like: Magical Top7 earring - Hiria's Tear D7 - Hebarn D7 ring

Always keep Hiria's Tear on as necklace because it gives a lot to your debuffs. I would not recommend full Magical set because it does not give enough dodge to make up for much less AP/Crit from missing Hebarn piece.

Personally I don't recommend lowering Dex because it gives you more equipment choice without making the dodge that you get from Windwalker completely silly and useless.

Aural Pierce: 1.6-1.7k

How to survive [multiple] raider ambush: Use MSPD down aoe and run a little further. Use Accu down (Soul Electric I think it was called?), Hurricane (dodge down), voltage jolt, and Thunderstorm to proc Windwalker. Lure raiders away from cleric to kill one at a time or into giant mob so you can aoe everything. If you are in full Preci, you will be faster than most raiders with max stacks of Windwalker.

Going to make a second mage to have the old version + blaze mastery probably.

Old eq still does fine with the new mage, just slightly fewer aoes.

Updated for more attacks, stronger overall in damage, but a tad bit squishier. Mana shield drops from 9-10k down to 7k.

-If you are to get mana shield, you should definitely max Mana reservoir but not so extreme like getting mana stream.. No point to use mana shield if your MP bar is too small.

-Cold snap, you are also supposed to max them out, they are at 4 sec effect duration if you leave it at Lv.1, you get 8 sec effect duration if max it

-You put PvP mana burn as unique skill, but I don't see you have regular mana burn on your skill build

-regular skills are priority, anything extra can be used as unique SP consumption, so I think you should give up those range passive, PvP thunderstorm, and I dare to say, might as well give up the whole 10SP into Fire mastery, because you only have Fire ring, met strike, met flow and Inferno, all of these have very long cooldown, it is not a good idea for a mage to have more than one element passive, if you play around with that mage skill setup for a bit, I'm sure you will experience difficulties to jack up the Blaze effect to Lv.5

-maxing mana reservoir only gives 2-3k more mana shield, which is like 1-2 hits or 1 second's worth of a raider ambush, so it doesn't make too big of a difference

-the build isn't so much for killing this with cold snap + kill, as it is for using cold snap to run away from things or lure them into the aoe-fest, so 4s duration is fine. Also with the accu passives, you pretty much have enough time to kill a single raider with the lvl 1 Cold Snap. Possibly with the addition of the 50% ms down AoE, run a little ways, and finish the kill.

-oops, forgot to edit that out properly, thanks

-I've been testing the mage in cd/tg, and the range passive is pretty necessary because it's a runner. Need to be able to run nearish, aoe, and run out and aoe without getting close enough for champ mutes, raider mystic knives, etc. I currently don't Technique of Magi so am playing with 27m range, and it's pretty dangerous. I get too close to the enemies for my comfort, and since many bcs have about 25m range, it's kind of not good for getting rid of them. It's actually not as difficult as you would think to proc both Blaze and Windwalker since 3 of the 4 Fire attacks are AOEs, and Blaze effect only adds skill power to the original build. I was originally going to lose the skill power to let the max stacks of Blaze make up for it but realized how difficult it was to maintain. Even just 2-3 stacks of Blaze is enough, really.

There's also the option of dropping range passives completely and getting Technique of Magi only to end up with 28m range, which frees up 4sp for putting into Cold Snap, I suppose.

Currently still iffy on PvP Thunderstorm (which is why I haven't learned Technique of Magi yet since it's only a skillbook). But you can leave it out and put the 2sp into cold snap to make it lvl3 and lower Thunderstorm to lvl3 and put 2sp into Cold snap to make it lvl5

Yehaaaa another running Mage in Draconis.

I almost have the same build as you as running Mage. Just the different are I go Debuff, staff stun, pvp mana burn, max colds nap and lvl1 decloak. I got mana absorb and I ignore all pm stuff passive because as running Mage we have enough time to regain pm from blue pot and we don't get that much hit to be spamming absorption.

In cd as running Mage, I use typhoon 60/40 +Hiria's tear, mask is leprechaun beard 60/40, eudy 60/40 and full preci sagi. Max stack of windwalker we will have like 2.4k mspd and 3.2k+ dodge. Already make champ and Some enemy miss u a lot. This mspd lure a lot of raiders try to gangbang us instead of our cleric.
Once we get one raider lure out of group. So easy to finish, I just cold snap them first. I got 8 secs to finish. That good enough. Since I got 3 stun from skill and staff stun as well as Debuff. If they try to stealth, I also have decloak.

This currently patch if our team has only one cleric and enemy have a lot of raider. Running Mage is the good choice to troll those raiders that trying to gang banging one Mage. One cleric won't be able to handle to save our Mage life from 3+ raiders hitting.

My build is almost the same, but I did not use fire spell. I use element, or sorcery. I also give up the last 2 accurate passive. There are several reason for giving up on them.

1. The cool downs for fire spells are too long. I can cast at least 2 or 3 element spells in that time. If it is single target, I can cast at a much faster rate. For example, element bot only has a 3 second cool down.

2. Most of the fire spells are target spell. Target spells are the worst when I have to click on the speedy and stealth raider to cast them. With element, wind, and water, if I am not counting the target AoE spells, I have 5 self-target AoE spells. With the right order, I can cast 9 spells in 12 second. I think 9 spells are enough to kill the raiders, which do not has high def. if it is not enough, I can also count on the target AoE spells.

3. I give up on the last 2 accurate passive, but in return I have both magi unique passives, which give 5% accurate, 10% skill power! and 3 meters range. Without any lava accessories, nor IM passive, my accurate is over 1.2k with the +50 charm buff. The number will be much higher with lava, IM passive, and good charm buff.
