Unlike RO1, in RO2, Monk sucks. Badly. In every possible aspects.

don't waste time on monk.... monk in RO2 is pure joke/parody compared to how amazing monk is/was in RO1

just make assassin and faceroll everything.... he have tons of dmg, CC, self heal, buffs, op stupidly broken damage reduction skill for a dps character, tons of dodge/crit& hit if you invest in AGI (and it's something you must do as assassin after all), lots of mobilty, etc

not to mention that assassin gear (armors and specially weapons) look million times better than monk stuff

but if you want tanky melee/bruiser then make beastmaster. Specially that BM can be build as tank, pure dps or hybrid while monk... lmao... xD

Monks are frankly not good compared to other classes. For PvP purposes, monks can build up 2 G-Fist for huge burst damage by using Summon Spirit Sphere and then taking advantage of easy Heavy Tackles with that small 5% to stun by abusing a possible 10-20 seconds worth of 50% damage reduction buff. You also have 5 seconds worth of stun by Lightning Walk, which can be 10 seconds thanks to the reset choice of Summon Spirit Sphere.

I recommend maxing Heavy Tackle, Crushing Blow, G-Fist, Summon Spirit Sphere, and Lightning Walk as core skills. But honestly, if you want that feeling of ro1 monk, assassins fit that role almost too perfectly. They have everything monks want.

As an assassin player playing a monk is like playing a totally lame version of assassin. Trust me, your passion will die out faster than you want to go back on your assassin.

I was thinking about that, I think they should:

1) Give the monk more attack like 10% more (make Stone Skin to  -20% attack to balance) so it can have a chance in DPS.

2) let them choose skills from the acolyte tree but separate this way a monk can go all the way Monk, Acolyte or hybrid it shouldn't be OP becasue if you choose to many from acolyte you loose a lot from monk
