Since I don't like writing essays (and i assume you guys don't want to read wall of texts either), I'll make it short.

 

Fixes I put on this weeks report:

  • reduce judex stun duration to 3sec to eliminate chain stun
  • swap damage % of DOTs so Adoramus>Credo>Oratio (no nerf)
  • suffragium should give a bonus on cast speed
  • make aqua benedicta a party/raid skill
  • make recovery cast-able while moving

Will include more ideas on support tree in the future.

Should be fine for now... For the support tree just give some ideas to make sacrament to sanctuary more useful (maybe for sanc eliminate being idle like deluge or something?)

Sounds solid. Main thing to me is making the support tree useful so that priests don't necessarily have to spend skill points on dots.

Can you clarify, in details, how "swap damage % of DOTs so Adoramus>Credo>Oratio (no nerf)" is not a nerf at every level combination of the 3 skills?

 

And the suggestion about doing the "nerf" one at a time, can you get the 3sec stun in first?  Wait for fixes done on hit/dodge and other classes before touching the dots.

Since I already made a post, i'll add something lol..

 

Making the support tree more useful/effective is definitely important. However, since the game lacks challenging raid content, it would not help the current situation. I just wish they would revert the stats system to pre-AOV ~_~ That would probably make even osiris more challenging lol but mehh it's not gonna happen >_>

It does, for those that are not PvP enough to invest 4 extra skill pts into Adoramus but have the other two skiills maxed for the farming convenience.

 

Just admit it's a nerf , everyone know there is a 1 sec cast time on adoramus and thus making it the last dot needed to be maxed.

 

But go ahead with that, not going to troll make this tougher than it need to be.

 

I just saw this in the excel regarding dots, "reduce dmg according to def rate".  This should be the longer term solution, right now it's sad that a knight and a sorc take the same damage on the dots.  Of course, we have to wait for other fixes before making a big step that could backfire.

 

Support?  What is support? bring challenging raid back first.  Agree with you on that.

Suffragium should give a bonus on cast speed.

To be honest, I couldn't think of a single skill that would badly required faster cast speed (maybe sacrament but you really only need to cast it only once), rest of the other skills cast time is ~1-2 seconds at most.

I wolud like to make a suggestion of having suffragium affects our vigor point/skill instead. Each lvl yield aditional 10% more of vigor overall stat for a short duration of time...about 1-2 minutes would be sufficient.

Another reason for this is that our current end-game/Osiris gears provide additional vigor. Since we do not receive any dodge/hit from the gears, utilizing the extra vigor bonus would be more useful than cast rate.

Also.... a cd decrease for resurrection skill is MUCH needed. My hot key for this skill been collecting dust since the arrival of endless amount of spinel from daily reward boxes. Spinel + Leaf = who the hell needs a priest around in case of an emergency anymore?

I don't have all 3 of my dots at lvl5 either. IF you've played pre-AoV, or pre-OPdotPatch, you will notice that adoramus had always been the strongest DoT. This is only to make the DOTs more reasonable.

Reduceing dmg according to def rate is more of a class wide issue. I believe all the DOTs penetrate defense so this would be a really huge change o-o

The suffragium fix is a "bug fix" now instead of a "improvement". We COULD suggest to change it into vigor in the future.

Res had long cd before AOV. When the raids were challenging, people would need to avoid dying and time the res wisely.

None of the Priest skills raised Vigor, because that would have reduced skills like Ressurection or Coloseo Heal even further.... and this would have increased the inbalance towards a FS-Sorcerer.

That Suffragium grants casting speed was and is reasonable, but the pre-AoV effect wasn't really strong enough.Assume the following:

 

Heal / Holy Light

Casting Time: 1sec

Recast delay: 1sec

 

Therefore a 10% faster casting time was equal to a 5% higher DPS / HPS output. (it only decreases the casting time... and that's 1/2 of the total duration of the skill)

In comparison, any +10% (M)ATK skill usually resulted in a +10% higher DPS / HPS.

 

... That's why Suffragium should have granted at least 20% pre-AoV.

 

Right now, all the ATK-increasing skills (like Archangel or Aura Blade) suffer by the fact that the weapon damage stays untouched.

If the weapon however contributes 66% or more to the total damage, any ATK bonus is only worth 1/3 of the printed percentage.

 

On contrast, Casting speed, Haste and Vigor buffs stay didn't change. Consider that before you level Sacrament f.e.

why you put the suggestion to bring back the old genesis ray animation ? have you ever ask the other priests about this ? instead of ray genesis in my opinion highness heal sound effect should be bring back ( the sound effect not the animation) . Potion Spray 1220cc has a similiar same animation with the Highness Heal but with sound effect , so there is no reason the priest one not have its sound effect.

a ton ? it really unfair for priests who dont want the ugly animation come back again , just because VCR dislike the new one and several people here says they dont like it too it can immediately put in vcr reports and reflect that the all priests in this game want to bring that old stuff back again  , if vcr reports is not debatable i cant say anything then GO with your dictatorship

Really sure old animation for RoG is not personal vcr's request. Actually, although minor the new animation also make RoG slightly OP because the multiple hits are fast. In the past you can still kill steal the Priest casting RoG since the 6 hits need like 2-3 seconds total to apply. And longer cast time too which is why some picking Suffragium but now the cast time even almost instant...

fyi I personally prefer the new RoG animation tbh >_>....... but it seems like everyone wants the old one back on the other thread

Ray of Genesis was always seven hits actually.

 

It's like I'm not too against the new animation, but I preferred the old one. Besides, we can move with this skill...sliding along the floor...why?

Flying while doing the damage (old animation), awesome.

 

Although hopefully on the Aqua Benedicta going for party/raid...

Exvee you are really wrong . Pre aov there is no priest pick suffragium with purpose to make the genesis ray faster , the priest who decide to go with suffragium max also go with the full support way , they pick suffragium because they want heal faster . So i think the genesis ray in vcr reports need to be evaluated first after that we can concluded is this what the everyone priest wanted or just some people opinion here so not needed to put in the vcr reports.

assumptio should have more duration like in ro1 and dungeon raids should be more challenging so priest could be a support class actually
