Okay so I am sure that all you top tempest know what to do and will own as usual but I would like to get some feedback on my build and dna points so I don't have to waste moneys on skill resets.

I would ideally prefer feedback from 66+ people and at least semi experienced with pvp but all are welcome to comment, so as you might work it out it's supposed to be pvp build yet able to grind okayish too.

Ah and bear in mind that I am using all s2 items and do not have the resources to pimp it hard.

Here we go:

Templar skills

Elec Bolt - 1
Charged Bolt - 10
Holy Bolt - 5
Rejuvenation - 1
Lesser Heal - 10
Ion Shield - 1
Divine Protection - 10
Sleep - 10
Resistance (Curse) - 10

Tempest skills

Lightining Restraint - 10
Glaring Light - 1
Holy Light - 7
Soul Depuration - 1
Magic Weapon Mastery - 10
Magic Mastery (Elec) - 7

DNA

Swift Lesser Heal - 5
Strengthened Lesser Heal - 6
Extended Lightining Restraint - 8
Extended Holy Light - 5
Strengthened Magic Weapon Mastery - 1


Basically since my HP is rather low I went with the more survivable/balanced road with my skills and dna, sacrificing some damage since you can't kill if you are dead.

Need feedback especially on dna and will explain any part of my build if you think it's wrong or I should change it.

And yes I know I should play however I like etc...:P

DNA

Swift Lesser Heal - 5
Strengthened Lesser Heal - 6
Extended Lightining Restraint - 9
Extended Holy Light - 5


One little thing here; if LR ticks every 2 seconds, you'll be wasting 1 DNA point for nothing since 18s LR is the same as 19s LR. Well I could be wrong and it should be tested first I guess. :P

Would use the point in MM for 12 extra magic damage though if it's really like I think it is.

Also, Elec Twister 1 is pretty good in case you forgot it.

ty, i missed that

i dont like elec twister in pve cos you need to get close to mobs and dont like running back and forth to avoid fear etc.

in pvp similar thing if i get close to someone it's not gonna end well most of the time

also depending on how big the cap will be (hopefully not very high) i would probs drop charged bolt to 1 and max glaring for more pve based build

My Dna will probably be

Swift Lesser Heal - 5
Strengthened Lesser Heal - 5
Extended Lightining Restraint - 5 idk how long would 12 extra secs would be
Extended Holy Light - 5 same for this

I'm thinking +12 secs would be enough for the aoes since the CD time is about 23's-24's so it'll leave 2 to 3 secs for casting it again.

isnt extended lr dna 1 point for 1 sec and holy light 1 point for 2 sec? they both have same cd so its good to have them last about the same time, also str lesser heal 6 gives big boost and you still have 5 points to spend but im glad that im not way off what others are thinking :P

Yes, the dna for lr add 1 sec per point, what we should do is if 1 point do something or one must put 2 to get one extra tic. In the 2nd case, 4 or 6 points would be ok, but probably, if is posible, max that dna would be the best. 20 secs duration and 23.1 secs CD.

In the other side, there is Holy Light, each point alredy give 2 secs, so there is no much problem. 5 points would match LR with its dna: more points in that skill would duplicate its effect, since you could cast it while the last one is still in action: 7 secs overlap.

As Famous said, Str Lesser Heal jump at lvl 6, then the options are more like leave it at lvl 1 or put 6 points.

Ah I didn't know someone posted the actually times for the DNA

so now I'll probably do

Swift Lesser Heal - 5
Strengthened Lesser Heal - 6(still not sure my crits are 3.6k to 3.5k atm at lv 8 so it'll drop to like 3k if I remove all DNA and place it some where else)
Extended Lightining Restraint - 8
Extended Holy Light - 6

Nadesh, are you positive recasting the aoe (when its still ticking from DNA) will stack and not overwrite?

If it stacks I'll max the two dna's on my defi, else level 5/6 is enough for perma tick I think.

No, i dont know if stack or if it doesnt, but it would have sence, otherwise it would be a dna for lazy people XD I mean, wich is the point of have the duration exceed the CD if it will cancel the previous effect.

Well, something to test i guess, i hope a moderator can asnwer to this because i feel like i dont want to waste a skill reset trying to find that answer.

meh i wouldnt count on it stacking therefore getting it as long as 20 sec is enough, we can live without 3 sec of aoe...rather than waste points, i need mine points in lesser heal anyway cos im noob :)

I was thinking more along these lines.... It does suck to lose the extra healing tho, but for me its less of an issue. This would be great if we only had 5 more DNA. It would be sweet to put heal up to 6.

As far as Lightning Restraint at 5. Im pretty sure the Koreans never fixed the 1 sec rule, so I bet 5 secs will do 3 ticks.

thanks for feedback, thats why i dont wanna waste moneys testing and stuff

so ill check if 5 sec will do 3 ticks and it can save me dna points for extra dmg

also i agree that with your dmg and hp you can afford to have less into str less heal as do some other godly tempests :P

if we get more dna points or i become godly ill be getting lighting mastery too :)

Helium just post in the turan post about the new dna, that the effects of the same skill wont overlap, so, even if they rise the cap lvl, more than lvl 7 in Extended Holy Light would be kind of useless.

My DNA build to be at 65:

Str. Lesser Heal - 10 (I insist. I take myself as a healer too...If you saw me in FOC before you'll know how often I heal my team)
Swift Lesser Heal - 5
Extended LR - 6 (Think this will be the max I can get at 65, not sure)
Magic Mastery - 1
Lightning Mastery - 2

should be easy to test, just take lets say lvl 2 dna and see if you only get 1 more tick, then take lvl 3 dna and see if you get 1 or 2 ticks

Well, confirmed, if you put 5 points in LR it will tic 8 times instead of 7.
