Woot, i can't wait for poison bottles to drop to 15k xD
When I started investing, EDPs cost 15-20k. It just went up due to the malaysia/steam players. More players = more demand. But it would definitely go down if there would be more investors. Then investors will their profits go down and stop investing. Then price would slowly go up again.
Also, I just exchanged a total of 50 tickets and got this:
Could some "newbie" investors post their results?

Guess i got very unlucky.
Still, worst part of this is sitting there clicking those damn npcs
You didn't really get unlucky.
In most cases you need to invest a few hundred mil to see any sort of substantial return.
The OP never really mentioned the tedious nature of the whole process. You need to be a very patient person to really profit with this.

It was me dropping poison mats. I have thousands of each type in storage and don't even have a gx yet, and I don't have time to vend stuff that sells only for 400z. If someone will actually use them by all means let me know and I'll sell to you in bulk. My only computer is a laptop, so I can only vend two days a week on average - I can't leave my vend up when I go to work.
I invested like 70 mil last night and have probably made back half of that with what I've vended so far. I'm keeping poison bottles, whites and some slims for my own use, but it seems to me like the value on the WoE boxes and acid bomb mats will be stable since a good chunk gets used up every week.
As for the guild dungeon access itself, people keep linking the investment post but no one has said exactly how one physically enters the dungeon. Do you wait until the abyss gate opens and use the cat to teleport? Do you use the castle switch? Inquiring minds want to play with a sound amp know.

*when you invest, please be advised that your money won't come back for a while.
edp and speed pots are fast to sell, but potion boxes, i find difficult to sell.

So far I've invested 4mil into it, might end up doubling that, or something, did not really calculate anything. Depends on how long it'll take to sell things and if I have to lower prices eventually.

Gave it another run with 40mil and made profit, very easy to vend just before woe. However its not worth the time, just clicking for hours.

To enter the new dungeons you may speak with the Gate Manager NPC near the NPC you used to invest in the realm. You may only do this after the investment period is over and the gate has been connected. This NPC will then allow access to floor 1 and 2 of the Guild Dungeons. Members of guilds owning a castle in the realm may use the same NPC that allows them to invest inside of their current castle. There is also a status board near each of these Gate Managers to show the current investment status in that realm.
^that's from irowiki. Don't bother checking the investment status as it always meets the required amount to open the dungeon anyway.
If you want to go to other WoE1 Dungeons (Britoniah for farming Black Rosary), you should invest in that specific dungeon. I only go to Valkyrie(pront) and Britoniah(geffen) and I find them always open every week.

Prices rise and fall a lot, really don't see this guide changing how those items have been due to the process and how fast people get bored with it.
This is true. Prices would fluctuate mostly depending on the number of investors. Some would eventually get bored so prices would slowly go up again.
That means only those who have time and patience would earn zeny.
But at least everyone would know they have a chance to earn zeny even if they do not have sufficient level/gear to farm anything worthwhile.

Yeah, I was just commenting in general to those stating the prices are gonna tank now. Done investment for a long time and it has always been that way. x)

The people you're aiming at could probably make more zeny per hour greeding in TIs in the same amount of time invested.
I have said it before, but this is NOT worth it unless you invest a few hundred mil at a time.

Question: If you invest 5m, how much profit do you consider worthwhile? If your 5m becomes 6m, would you be happy?
Also, people already KNOW about TI greeding. I never said they should invest instead of greeding at TI. They could do both if they have the time. I merely gave them another not well-known alternative which for some reasons you want to shoot down. Are you worried about losing profits?

Because you glorify this and don't explain the tedious nature of it.
If someone is not adamant about selling everything, it's going to take a while to recover your investment.
I'm not investing currently, but if I were, why would I be worried about losing profit? A good bit of the items received are consumables, which get used up weekly.
As long as there's a healthy population on the server, the demand will always be high (which means steady prices or a minor jump/decline)
New players investing small amounts of zeny here and there are very likely to actually lose zeny.
Trust me, I have invested way more than you. I have a friend that would probably put everyone in this thread combined to shame.

come on, rotine was just trying to help
i don't see why some people have to put their fangs into it
he's probably done more for the server than some people who post for the sake of posting or to be sarcastic
either way, exactly like what many say, markets fluctuate, there is more than one way to make zeny, and don't depend on just one source of income
some people have their minds on a bit more lofty goals, so if a person wants their 2x 1.0 god item sets, +14 thanatos bow, etc its their own choice of burden
however if what some people want is to get enough to play the game, level, mvp a bit for fun, this thread is totally fine by me
also he did say "Anyway, that's all for now. Feel free to post your questions, corrections, suggestions, etc."
so yeah, if rotine decides it fair to put in that its all luck based, and may need some degree of capital to make it worth while most would be happy, yes?

i think redeeming 30k points took like 6-7 hours. But from the 300m i invested, i got about 600m back, but it took a few weeks to vend everything out.

I've done over 150m investment now and i sold everything in 1day, i just go 10-20% below ragial avg and it sells really fast. So far its about 60% profit, probably could have been more if i didnt vend so low.

You really shouldn't do that unless people are undercutting your prices. It messes up the prices for everyone else. When Tofu made that thread (linked in the OP) about the Malangdo quests, my wife and I were selling Cathand Gloves for 1.2mil. But people kept needlessly dropping their prices to sell faster. I started buying all the 600k gloves and reselling, but then it started getting to the point that I couldn't sell them even at 1mil any more. Hell, it took forever to sell them all at 800k. And there were too many selling below that for me to buy them all, so mine still didn't sell fast enough for me to keep buying all the lower priced ones to keep the prices up. Eventually, it got to the point that doing those quests for money wasn't really worth it any more. Hopefully soon, people will do this or other quests and the gloves will go back up, so others can start doing those quests for zeny again...

The difference is the vending machine is a zeny sink. Making each z you profit (technically) appreciate in value.
Greeding and overcharging is a zeny source. Making each z you generate depreciate in value.

I have always sold my stuff cheaper than market prices, I dont like to vend because I have problems with disconnects, so i set my prices so everything will sell within an hour max.Items becommming cheaper is good, it is extremely difficult for new players to gear up today and afford supplies.
Unless that new player is someone who is trying to make a living flipping WoE supplies. Then you're ultimately F*@&ing them over. Race to the bottom for commodities usually does more harm to new players than good. Especially since new players don't have the buying power to weed your undercut items off the market to maintain a consistent market value.
