I can't find it either, but I definitely sent it. I checked all my accounts.

Clearly some sort of conspiracy!

Can someone just tell me why the hell i was suspended over a week ago? It can't possibly be that hard to figure out unless GMs are just free to suspend people willy nilly without making any sort of note of it...

How do you know they haven't responded, if you don't even know where you started the ticket from?

There are only three accounts I would have posted from, and all of them show no sign of the ticket.

Why would you make 3 Support accounts? You can use one for all your RO accounts.

Yeah I didn't realize that when I made them, and thought I needed one for each account.

All right, to stay on topic, I submit we get rid of the cash shop and go back to paid subscriptions with a trial.

I feel that's the only way iRO will ever be legitimised again. if they insist that cash items be made available, stick with cute headgears that add no advantage to actual gameplay.

As an added bonus, some of the high level areas that are flooded with bots atm would be clean again, and the bots would have to rely on trial accounts in low level fields.

I love the idea of subscriptions, but that's also the number 1 reason I've heard from pserver players as to why they don't play iRO and/or haven't tried to rediscover it.

I just don't think the subscription model is compatible with current western gaming sensibilities.

The biggest issue I had with the free trial back then was that it lasted for MUCH too long (15 days). That's half the time of a monthly subscription for free!

Yeah, the game was more balanced back then when it was subscription-based, but now that we have all these cash shop items in the server, there's no way we can go back to subscriptions. Especially not without losing hundreds of players in the process. Having the game free-to-play is fine, it's the way the Kafra Shop is managed that pretty much ruined the game. Back then people stayed away from official servers because of subscriptions. Now people stay away from official servers because of bad management. We just need to address that.

We've been having the "should we advertise/get listed on pserver ranking sites" discussion internally. We've looked at it in the past but due to concerns of a)the community feeling that it legitimizes pservers and b)possible fallout from kRO finding out about that we have been hesitant to seriously consider it yet.

I did read that "official vs private" thread being talked about and it was interesting that not all people who play on those servers do so just for extremely high rates or other things that we would never do. There are things that our Classic server can do that they cannot for example.

You guys are completely right that RO is nowhere near as visible as it should be and I must admit that my experience as a CM is entirely defined by forums management/ingame so marketing, livestreaming and other stuff is still something I am trying to learn. I really do appreciate these suggestions and expanding this awareness is something that the community team is increasingly being expected to focus on.

Traditional marketing (google ads for example) have an extremely low effect to cost ratio, which is one of the reasons why we've been trying to branch out into more "viral" forms of getting ourselves out there. It's damn hard as a 11 year old game to do this but we are still working on it. There are some fantastic suggestions in this thread about different ways to get people interested and I would be very appreciative of more suggestions.

I once advertised the official server as a pserver on a pserver listing site. I believe it was when Valkyrie F2P first came out. It got removed and the associated thread massively flamed. Pserver people feel pservers are legitimate and that the official server has no place amongst the rotten cesspool they call home.

The good thing about Ragnarok is its doesn't required fancy pc/lappy to run the games, and i choose this game over millions of FB games out there...

As for the pservers player, they do spend real money as well by donation/etc based on the server customization.

Use this to your advantage WP.

Something occured to me while reading your post (thanks!):

An idea could possibly be to add some of the fun customization options to International Ragnarok Online (IRO),

Classic and Renewal would be great, that pservers offer - that way when advertised as having customs, people would

definately choose our servers, since the population is solid and established.

I remember back in the day on a pserver far far away, one of the fun options would have been custom dyes.

There we're so many to choose from it was awesome! I think I had a Paladin all in white or something.

I fancied the idea of being a Knight in shining armor, and the game made it possible to do so.

Another cool little feature I remember was the ability to duel other characters in town (both had to agree first of course)

but it was a subject of conversation and a way to test yourself against a friend - the option to agree/decline was interesting.

I understand you have more creative control over the Classic server, so maybe at the very least this could be done there.

Along with other customizations that don't affect the game in game changing ways.

That would certainly be an incentive for me to play Classic, but some changes of the like to Renewal would be super too! :)

private servers have so many interesting npcs its hard to imagine why we dont have some of those ideas here, the main aspect im dissapointed about is the lack of dyes to pick from here in Iro.

Ok don't troll but the most serious issue here is that compared to most games out there iro is much more lag. I have said this before trying to get players to play this game is hard due to this. First thing I heared him say is wow this game is laggy.

There are lots of good suggestions here and can all expand our game.

But to be honest can the server handle them we are experience lag all time right now. When we fix this server issues I can see the game able to grow.

Oda not a troll post at all serious issue. Is there a way in future that we can really fix this issue, or is this something can't be fixed. Maybe we can save for what we need -_- I'll buy some kp for ya if it will help with cost lol.

The lag is mostly attributed to how RO's core engine (Aegis) is programmed. From what I heard, it's very inefficient and causes people with even excellent internet connects lag. What's needed is for kRO to update the engine to work better on newer computers and make it more efficient. Pservers don't have the lag problem because they use a different engine that's much more updated.

Nah Aegis is pretty good you can try other officials besides SEA based one unless you live in those areas and it's likely you won't have the lag you have at iRO. Even Aegis based pservers with a player equivalent to what classic is right now haven't had this problem so it's honestly up to Gravity to move their host at this point which I hope they do so because it's starting to get sad that all my friends can only get to level 20~30 before quitting because of lag =(.
