I agree shadow chaser doesn't get 193 "easier than most classes". Not sure what the devs are thinking there. They don't need large aspd boosts to improve the viability of any skill though, because 193 can already be achieved with stats+gear.

Right.  193 is cool, but not necessary to make a great chaser, Shadow Spell or otherwise.  That's why I'd rather have supporting buffs like the ones I've already mentioned, rather than direct buffs like what has been proposed by many others.

Perhaps the Very Normal Hat should have its own thread? Chasers have much to discuss for theirs, considering their class and what they have available.

You know what would make testing these hats SO much easier on Sakray?

 

Access to all cards via NPC like has been done in the past.

 

An NPC that sells:

  • Ancient Dagger (120 MATK)
  • Bazerald (105 MATK)
  • Keris (70 MATK)
  • Elemental Sword (95 MATK)
  • Temporal INT/AGI boots with all the max enchants
  • Fallen Angel Wings (as well as the NPC that enchants them)
  • Heroic Backpack
  • Bradium and Carnium to test overupgraded gears and how they effect the hats (cause people do have overupped stuff)
  • An NPC that can give Shadow Chasers any skill they may need to copy to test with the hat.  I shouldn't have to make extra characters so I can test the SC hat properly
  • Slotted middle headgears, especially Hexagonal Glasses since they increase magic damage on insect monsters (think Scarabas).

If we could get these items, it would be a lot easier to give feedback.

I hate to be the one to necro, even though this should've been active or completed by now, but what is the current status of this project? These hats have been long overdue for adjustments when we finally got them, especially Autumn Hairband. The fact that this was given its own subforum was already a sign of dread, but some official confirmation would be nice. I know one major issue was a severe lack of equips and cards needed to fully test these headgears for better suggestions.

Hey, so uh...how about we get this done?  The Shadow Chaser hat could be so much better than it is right now.  If I have to figure out how to do all the coding myself and make the changes I will because I want this done.

Well I asked! It appears that it has to do with development, and Autumn Hairband was immediately mentioned. I understand about the issue of not being possible to directly buff certain traps. But that isn't the only hat with a problem. I believe the other problem hats could be properly discussed and advanced, since they won't have as much "hardcore" scheming as Autumn. Performer Hats immediately come to mind, along with others like RG, Gene, Soul Linker, etc.

 

This might be forever on the backburner, but could we have tools placed aside on Sakray to test with? Could be its own area with its own NPCs so they won't get in the way of whatever is being played with in Test Prontera whenever an update rolls around.

ALSJ, if I recall, Oda's answer for your question is, like, for this year they will focus on catching up the new contents so iRO can close to kRO, so for now all headgear projects will be put a rest :sob: . I do hope the staffs can spare a time to revised this headgears. Still put my hope on Divine Guard Hat (as AHB issue pretty much flame bait), and hopefully, the accessories too.

Please stop bringing this up, I already gave the proposal for this to Camp a while back, all we can do is wait.
