Even the standard PvP tournament restrictions I'll tolerate. At least they restricted Twin's Wheel of Reversal.

doesn't seem to pique my interest. maybe if it was a group tournament. that would be fun.

skill restrictions need be included.

also, full gear aside from cash (IM) items? no level limits, just 50+?

what's up with that first place +20 armor chosen stats. winner could just request an OP set, hopefully restrictions no those, though that should be obvious.

Well this is what they could do;

7 Piece set with:

Shoulders like Rune Knight.

HLT like Angel's Health Set.

Atk-spd like Devil's AGI Set.

Critical Rate like Ghost Buster.

And Individual Bonuses like an Artifact Set.

And Visual Appearance like any Artifact God Set.

Least that's what I'd do.

this would be interesting if it was a guild tournament or 4v4/3v3 etc.

to be honest, any of the top pvpers could take this win. and with gear, forget about it. already know who would win if they decide to join.

My suggestion is like with Friday Fight Nights they give us temporary characters to use with a limited gear level. Like say we all get Level 80s with a certain gear cap. Maybe a particular setup but restricted on enchant/soulcraft values and no IM gear.

YAY this tournament is NOT a round robin tournament event in the event where the host becomes unable to continue the player with perfect attendance win's.

1st place prize is a bit too good don't ya think?

Too bad destroyer fall's short in naked PvP. (w/o animation on shootdown it become's too buggy, w/o 2xx% atkspd combo stun (soporific) Isn't viable for catching and flashbang isn't lagwalk proof)

Level does matter not to mention skill level etc, you had the right decision last time on making premade account's for the tournament. + skill level matter's as well, Most Thief Class player's only get level 10 RP from ring card sockets. Making their RP rather poor when stripped naked Only the older players used the monster cards.

I'll wait on more information..

Are there going to be any items restrictions? Say, max level 20 gear at advance +4? That way new and old retired players may compete. No gear restrictions means no competition. The top geared players are the only ones that benefit from this, and are ironically the ones less deserving of the prizes.

Edit: What happened with my idea of making a tourney only server running a single map file, all characters are created at a set level with set gear options and skill reset scrolls. Maybe even block specific skills and edit other skill ability so that they're better fit for tourney play. Hell, this could even double as a test server for merging skill changes into the main game.

I would be interested to participate if there was gear restriction

What is the maximum/minimum amount of players necessary for this tournament?

Are there main armor(gear) restrictions?
If so, this game is strictly gonna be one sided to physical attackers. Expect archers, twins, warriors everywhere with the occasional dk summoner.

Skill restriction rules?

These are very good questions.

Players have to be a large amount for prizes this large.

Last tournament, despite that Round Robin stuff that basically gave Perfect Attendance the win, we had the pleasure of equal gear and item sets in pre-made accounts. If that system comes back but with a higher level cap, then it's alright.

and is there any information on skill restrictions? I want to know if I can actually use post-Galaxia nerf skills (Ex. Sumblebum, Swords Dance) because the reasons they were banned have been taken care of.

It's extremely difficult to get balance into the equation since full vanilla gear leaves only physical damage attackers with the highest chance of success. We all know sorcs can't 1v1 for their life and neither can priests without element the damage difference is too vast.

So,if I were to be joining this it would be with a p attacker class with the highest possible chance of winning which would be twin.

Light speed + weave spam + power fist + 700+ dmg per hit vanilla gear = gg.

--

I would prefer the idea be the best in class bracket.

Sorc vs sorc

Overlord vs overlord

Twin vs twin etc.

To me it seems to be the most balanced as every class has a fair chance of winning and the only determining factor would be skill.

I honestly don't know why this wasn't suggested before.

An amateur twin would almost always certainly win against the best sorc (vanilla).

I do agree on the best in class bracket. However the problem is, where are we going to find the number of players to make these tournaments. It'd divide the bracket into 10 separate tournaments.

There wouldn't be anything wrong with separate tournaments. For example, one week could be destroyers vs destroyers. The following week could be another class. And to be honest, managing entries by class would be much easier than managing a huge submission of applications into one big tournament. In the long term it would be much more manageable for WP staff.

The prizes would need to be revamped by producer.

Well, that's enough talk about balance. Either way, people will still join this tournament regardless. I wouldn't be surprised if the winner was a twin though.

Well another issue, is they'd have to tweak the rules so that participants who play multiple different classes won't abuse this and attempt to get prizes for all tournaments.

For example: Player A joins Overlord tournament and participates. Another tournament is the Destroyer tourney so he feels like he can apply a 2nd entry in the Destroyer tournament and reap two different tournament rewards as he's good at both classes..

There are players who can play virtually any class in the game efficiently in PvP.

That still applies even now. Who is to say you can't join on a different WP account with a different ds account with a different character?

One could even apply one character to each bracket a b and c to maximize their chances of winning.

Yes, if class tournaments were in place people could potentially sign up with an alt. however that doesn't guarantee their chances of winning. it reduces the chances of multiple entries with that class as majority of people don't have multiples of the same class alts.
