Getting there.... Drawing the outline... Question though if I draw with pencil and then decide to go over it digitally just for neatness and in case someone actually wants to carve it which category would it be in?
I would advise not doing that in general unless you want to be put in the digital category! They are strictly separate for a reason.

To reiterate my intent with the 2nd and 3rd categories - you should look to emulating a pumpkin that has been carved, not making a stencil to carve a real pumpkin!

ok i submitted... i didnt do step by step pictures cuz that would require me to stop at each step and scan it in and break my stride... but i submitted links to it on all my art pages where its now posted... plus my signature is on the picture itself...

Only took two images of mine... The drawing and the finished product. The drawing has my name on it, though.
I may do another one in the next few days. The structural support was a little lacking and it kind of fell apart on the way back from the carving party soooo yeah. x_o

Nobody followed the rules of the last contest, and now nobody is following the rules of this one (by taking progress shots).
Sapphic you need to start slapping people around so they start taking you seriously!

im not about to stop everytime i choose to use a new color to add to my picture, scan it, upload it to a image hosting site and then link it to the page... id never get done with it... i used 16 different colors to do mine... and its well documented as being MINE... and the outline prolly wouldnt even come out at all since it was done with a very light orange

I don't have a horse in this race so I don't care either way, but even if your style is unmistakably yours, it's still a good idea to follow the rules because if Sapphic has to disqualify someone else for not following the rules, it's only fair that she disqualifies everyone who didn't follow that rule.

It's just really awkward for me to stop and take a picture every five minutes when I'm at a party with other people...

I think just a couple pics during the process would probably be sufficient lol.
Like I said I dont even have a horse in this race, but as an artist I have participated in many contests so i like to see them run fairly.

the point of submitting pics of the process is to prove that the work is that of the submitting artist and not stolen from someone else... my art is documented on various sites and shows that my work is the work of me and only me... i submitted links to those pages instead of step by step pics... that should be good enough to prove that my work is my own...

My rule is to keep out cheaters not genuine entries lol! It's pretty obvious it's his work.
I think the community is in trouble if Ralis of all people was trying to fake someone else's pumpkin, too lol! His drawing is fine as evidence.
If you do a second one, let me know which one you're submitting for realsies P:
I would be more strict if it was a more random person - even then it's not like there's too many RO pumpkins out there to steal from and if there were no step images I would demand a very convincing pic of them interacting with it in some way to prove it exists next to them. With Facekiller's his style is incredibly unique and it's quite obvious he drew that - not only does it have his signature, but it's an RO drawn pumpkin which isn't really something you can just google!
So far there are 2 digital, 1 traditional, and 1 carving. Enter the traditional/carving categories now to auto-win

If you wish to, go for it! The pics you did provide are good enough for me to prove that you made it yourself. Great entry, thanks!

Submitted! Didn't take as long as I thought it would but I did break my poker tool in half. I got some good seeds out of it too.
If you want, maybe you can make the Sakura Crown a possible prize too~ Maybe that'll get people to buy those leftover pumpkins!

Fantastic! 2 digital, 2 traditional, 3 real carvings ! 4 people might win by default
Ah, I'd rather not change the prizes now since it's so late in the game. Future events!
Last day to submit !
