Hi guys! i jsut recently got back to RO2. Was a player in SEA in 2013 but i quitted last june. Just question though.. I hope someone can help me. Which main tank is good now? i heard BM and Monk were buffed. I was a knight before (named Jiyoung). I was planning to be a monk or warrior. what do you prefer? Thanks in advance. :)

First off, almost all tanks will reach or be near Defense Cap (75%). All are very viable and pretty much top tier.

Monk's are really tanky in PVP and have huge burst damage with their G-Fist now. Their threat levels in PVE are on the low end however, and it takes a bit more patience to level up due to slow AOE attack. Healing is their biggest issue.

Bears are about the middle in my opinion (my main). In PVP, they could be annoying to deal with because of giant HP, but are easy to kite. However, they can one-shot unprepared players which is nice. Amazing PVE survival (can solo almost everything), great AOE for leveling up, threat levels are around the same or better than monks with proper gear. Only average damage however (I can never kill a monk by myself in Colo).

I've been tempted to make a knight for a long time. Lots of people still think it's weak, but it's actually really strong at endgame. Battle tactics as OP as ever, great stun and slow, really sturdy, and can't overlook the potential +15% damage reduction beyond defense cap. Knights will have less or have much better threat than BM and monk, depending on gear. Decent AOE for grinding too.

Warriors are still the king when it comes to Threat. Nothing can really catch up to it. OP Battle tactics as always, great damage potential. AOE is pretty good for grinding as always.

In terms of PVP, I would rank Monk as best.
In terms of PVE Grinding, I would rank BM as the best, Monk the most difficult
In terms of PVE Bosses, they all work.

Hope this helps you a bit :)
