[Resolved] Shared Party EXP Not Calculated Correctly

So apparently the exp system broke again.

KSing doesn't reduce the exp.

So for example

A level 10 target can hit a level 70 mob. Then a level 230 can kill it, and the level 10 gets 100% of the exp. and the exp isn't reduced to the level of the 230 killing it.

So instead of say 

230 killing 70 mobs = 250exp

10 getting 250 exp as well

you have

10 hitting

230 killing [both get 11k]

-this only occurs when the two are not in the same party- 

Obviously people failed to report it publicly as it's incredibly exploitable to power level characters. But it needs to be fixed. Because it can be exploited as such

Level 30 with exp costume, prem, [current exp event] sigil and party level 50 takes that 11k to about 50k? This 30 aoes a group, then the max aoes for the kill.1  Generating [say 11 mobs killed] 550k exp
This means that level 30 just gained about 2 levels, from 11 mobs. Maybe even more. 

If we ever want a GOOD system to leveling in, like quest lines that are worth doing, kings that yield profitable exp and such, then we need to address the bugs that making those intentions less important to the community. In case it isn't apparent, when a large portion of the community demands something be upgraded or fixed, it usually happens. Perfect example, the server merge. we went from the staff response of "sorry, won't happen" to "yes we're going to merge we just need to figure it out". 

So when it comes to these kind of bugs, it's best to address them immediately, so that way people don't get used to it like they did with buff sets, and end up feeling damaged when it is fixed. 

Haven't confirmed it yet, but intend to as soon as I get some time.

This should be take into consideration soon.

yes, this bug is in favor for many players (including me LMAO) but this is not normal, I hope my character sm level up to 170 so I can move at ruins, no more conflict I guess unless intended by some other players haha

cuz of this bug people claim its something new and that devs took the killstealing away cuz merge is comming soon, thats what people are saying now.

"Yeah that's silly, you can tell anyone it's not intentional and will be fixed when we're able to get to it. It's not a game critical bug, like our characters geting stuck on Draconis or the server merge project going well, so it's just on a waiting list"

Now you can tell those to go ahead and check the forums for themselves. Also, a person taking advantage of an exploit or bug in Rose is subject to being reported, and possibly banned. Feel free to take screen shots, or record them when you see them doing it, and report them.

Yes, it is. Just make sure they understand that what you are reporting is a bug exploit, and not the KS itself.

Thank you so much! It was getting quite annoying with the sheer number of people intentionally trying to KS us so that they could get xp. We even had some ask us if they could!

Why do you guys report this? Make profit instead!

Because we're not greedy dirt bags... and I'd like to see a PROPER solution that can be better managed then exploiting a bug. 

I agree with Feuer on this. Plus as a Class Rep, I feel I should set a good example. If I exploit a bug, and make a profit off of it to boot, I would be letting Leo down. This is not my goal. Any class rep that would do this, should be ashamed.
