Not everyone wants the same improvements to the game so it's an inaccurate indication of what the community wants from the developers.

 

Well, the plan is to do a popularity vote sometime soon, so that'd actually make it into a pretty good indication of what the (forum) community wants.

I think the entire community can agree that we want all the UI updates at the very least. Guild storage has been in demand since guilds were implemented in addition to the new mail system and the much needed banking system.

I, for one, despite not posting in this thread, appreciate that you were willing to collect the information and to update the OP about it. 

 

Many of the changes suggested are one's I disagree with, where-as others I think are so objectively good that it's silly to even argue about it (like UI changes and Direct X update(s)). I tend to not participate in these threads because I find many people cannot detach what they want for themselves from what is good for the game (nerf class I hate, buff class I like type of logic). Still, thanks for starting and managing the thread. It's good to have an organized way of representing people's thoughts/views, even if some of those thoughts/views are (to me) silly.

it should be pinned, and gms should take account of the suggestions

 

whats the point of doing tiki and asking what we want and give small things when the big things need to be fixed?

Up for at least some GM comment about UI Fixes:

Is it possible to incorporate Renewal's UI for the following? (in order of importance)

Storage (much needed! :( Renewal's UI for this is just too awesome to not exist! especially with 600 storage spots for VIP accounts)
Skill tree
Party Search
Party Window (change leader? not really much of change but still appreciated imho)

That's all that I can think of/

As I've already said in this thread, before we work on iRO customs, lets work on getting the official updates first.  Some suggestions, like leaderboards  and @ commands are way too pserverish.

A officially ran player database would be nice.  Options like linking accounts, showing gear, hiding charas, etc. could be controlled in your account settings. (They could make a uniform system for all their games while their at it)

Allow expanded classes to reach 175.

Only if they have a expansion over level 99 already.

Better party share mechanics

Agree fully, Personally I say 100% per party member, but that's probably to much.

Quest overhaul.

YES! My big issue with RO.  Update all quests to make full use of the quest UI.  Make journal entries self explanatory on what you should do next.  Boost exp rewards on story quests big time.  I don't agree with making quests account linked.  In that aspect, individual charas should be independent.  Can we make cool down timer automatically clear when they expire?  I'm tired of having tons of expired timers in my inactive list.  While you can clear them by talking to the related quest or instance npc, that can be a bit out of the way if you're not planning on doing the quest at that time.  Perhaps you can create a "journal minder" npc that clears expired cool down timers from your journal.

Reshape EXP penalty curve.

I personally think the range is good.  The problem is that monster difficulty and exp reward don't scale well.  Variety at higher levels is quite low and mostly non existent for 150-160+  Nightmare CT is the only place in iRO currently that properly has monsters for leveling to 175.  If it wasn't for the bio4 bounty boards and a couple other boards having their level cap higher than they should be, there would be practically nothing to level on for 150+.  In the end, we should have never got the 175 update, only 160.

Buff MVPs.

Yes.  Make the vip buffs constant, but considering how they appear to work, it would probably not allow you to stack foods on top.

Unfortunately I think the connection is only half the problem.  Server programming is probably a bigger issues with lag.

Allow for the filtering of global announcements

Good idea, but I think not being able to filter certain messages like GM announcements is on purpose.  They probably don't want us to be able to filter those.  Put all WoE messages on the same channel, currently only WoE1 can be filtered.

I would personally like to see the Guild "WoE only" skill available at all times. This would allow guilds that have no interest in WoE to have a use for the skills as well and also give more of a reason for leveling the guild for PvE players. Also, the guild leader passive area buffs could be a little bigger, maybe 15x15? 5x5 is quite small to expect any other guild members to be in the effective area, especially for ranged guild leaders that are constantly moving and/or "in the back".

Please put a permanent block list options in renewal server

 

The Problem is there is so many chat spammer inside the game that is promoting some stuffs

and i always exall the name of the characters but when i change character or disconnected when i return the exall option always been reset so the names that i block spamming me again and again pretty annoying when you always exall the name of that character.

 

My server is Renewal Thor migrated from pRO and in my old server we have block name list in chat window option there so maybe here we can have also for these setting.

A better heal formula would be appreciated. Right now outside of major TI parties, heals are just the extra cheese you have on top of your 4 cheese pizza (ranked white slim).

What's wrong with the heal formula? Dont just say its bad without supporting your claim D:

My bishop heals like 3.5k ~ 4.2k depending on which gear I use, and 3.2x that with high heal. Thats generally fine in pvm for me?

Oh and also a better way to handle the constant KS'ing from other players especially at Gramps TI i.e a much harsher punishment than just a slap on the wrist, or a system in which the person who has the aggro of a mob/monster gets the exp/count even if someone KS' unless the character dies.

 

The level of gameplay when it comes to parties during TI's has stooped ridiculously low. Yes the spawn rates are phenomenal but there is no regard for anybody else. Coming from a veteran of 5+ years of iRO.

 

Grinding and putting in effort when it comes to leveling and making zeny is hardwork sometimes and putting up with inconsiderate idiots just rubs salt to that festering wound.

I'm Into Quest Overhaul (Mostly in EXP/JEXP Reward)

 

Most of the Bounty Boards Quest for 90-100/ 100-120 / 121-140 rewards a frustrating 1-5% exp (Dedpending on Lvl) even with VIP/BMX3.

While @ lv141+ The total Bounty Board Quests for BIO will level you up by 2.

 

It's not hard to find how new or low lvl migrated accounts in Thor are now quitting.

It's not just the difficulty that should be considered but also the effort and supplies that the player is using on those.

A lot of things in the quest system need to be overhauled.  Bounty board exp is based directly on how much exp the monsters give.  I believe it's  (monster exp * 150)*.75

The story quests are what really need their exp rewards improved since most give a minuscule amount of exp for the amount of time they take.

Interested on Mado mount issue, being realistic WP won't change a thing unless it's profitable. So an item/scroll summoning Mado Gear is a good suggestion, available at cashshop and price-wise similar to token of sieg box. I wouldn't mind to spend some zeny/money on it as long i could play my Mado to the fullest.

RK mounted animation should be fixed as to actually appear like the character is holding the weapon instead of it protruding from their forearm. Would be nice if LK's aura blade had a buff timer. For that matter it would be nice to have buff timers on a lot of other things too, like resistance potions, HP increase potions, etc. Alchemist's resistance potion recipes need to be updated and fixed as well since they list some ingredients twice and not even the correct ones i.e. empty bottles instead of empty potion bottles.

I realize that MVP is kind of its own reward but I think bounty boards for them would be pretty cool.

they could improve the booking system changing two options to be enabled by default

currently newer players have to manually check these to start receiving notifications about party recruitment. I wonder if it is too hard and i wish they can find a way to make this work cause i think it would be very useful.
